i put it in when i was putting the motor together. to swap the pump you would have to pull the front cover and the upper pan to get to everything to remove the pump.
I have one of each and it just depends where you want to mount it. If you have room the cts is much better easier to see and you can monitor more pids at a time. So I prefer the cts.
I got my truck up and running again finally and with new stock oil pump I don't see under 30-35 psi hot and new gm oil cooler temps haven't been over 210 and I was running it pretty hard. Both my turbos are ball bearing so they do use less oil of course
On my other motor I swapped springs with the heads on the truck. Get the cylinder to tdc just for insurance since the seals will hold the valves up if they are in good shape
I like the sound of the lml pump but I bought a new gm pump for this motor and cold (70 degrees) it pegs my factory gauge at idle and I haven't seen less that 35 at idle hot with 15-40 oil. Just my experience
