Ive seen alot of trucks run stock valve springs pushing good boost... however 42psi of boost is good enuf for the springs to let the valves float... you will make more power when your valves open and close when they are ment to..

Not sure but you could probably use the old method of putting the piston at TDC and pressurizing the cylinder to hold the valve up providing there is a tool to compress the spring so the keepers can be removed.

I've never done it that way on a Dmax though.....

I have socal stuff it came with the heads that came on the truck...not saying to go with them but they do work...I would get a set of heads from Henry or guy that are ported/polished while your at it

On my other motor I swapped springs with the heads on the truck. Get the cylinder to tdc just for insurance since the seals will hold the valves up if they are in good shape
