    LBZ: S&B more restrictive?

Was gonna say I have run the times in my sig through an S&B LBZ box and filter. Glad you got it figured out.

    Duramax powered Colorado

A Duramax and 2WD Allison isn't 1100 lbs heavier than the stock Colorado drivetrain, it's probably about 1100 lbs.

    BD diesel transmissions?

And use the oversized Sonnax A and B valves, making the valve body scrap aluminum to me.

    LLY: 2006 LLY Advice

Save the money and do an AirDog 150, it will support far more than your plans (I trapped 136mph in the 1/4 on one). You will be fine on the 130hp tune with a shift kit while empty and a tow tune while towing. The DHD brace won't work with your lift kit. But I would do MOOG tie rods with...

    Virgin Head Gasket?

I would like to know how the tuning or driving style will blow headgaskets? I mean if you go WOT the minute you fire it up on a 10* morning, I don't think it's a great idea. But like I said with 366/480 compounds we have bent and broken a rod and windowed the block without blowing a stock...

    Virgin Head Gasket?

I personally do believe that is the case 99.9% of the time. Did you do anything that would have required draining the coolant? A coolant change, water pump, anything in the valley like a regulator or CP3, anything on the driver's side of the engine, pull the turbo, etc. It's not always...

    Virgin Head Gasket?

You will be fine as long as you don't continue to drive it while leaking or low on coolant and when you do work on anything that requires a coolant drain you properly bleed the system. I am not at all concerned about blowing the head gaskets on the high mileage shop work truck, I know that...

    Virgin Head Gasket?

Shop work truck has 290K on it with stock bolts and gaskets. 100 overs, 10mm stroker, and 45+ PSI of boost. On other trucks we have bent and broken rods and put them out the side of the block without blowing LLY gaskets, destroyed pistons, you name it. The problem is not the gaskets and the...

    TCS billet allison parts

The input and output shafts are what SC uses also - don't think they are trying to keep that a secret sense they send them in a TCS tube with TCS instructions. Use their billet parts and keep them all on the shelf.

LMM: New Danville 68MM Stg2R Review

Left is BMW3794, then the same turbo that is on the truck you mentioned, then the 68mm Stg2R, then the 72mm billet. It's unfortunate for Jonathan that he had to let the truck go to buy or build a house, he still misses it. We did the turbo, 100 overs, 10mm stroker, tuning, and a few other...

LMM: New Danville 68MM Stg2R Review

Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Mo. Can't wait to see what one of these Stg2R's is like in comparison to the other 3. By the way Shields, you need to call and get on the schedule for the trans, and while it's out.....

    Engine build

You did! You make have been saying it hypothetically, but Chris said he does not wish to post what happened at this time and you just won't let it go for now. Unlike Chris, most people will get on a forum and completely flame a company for what they speculate to be the problem with their...

    FNG From Western NC

Galot is staying 1/8 mile for now, from what I'm told. But will be an awesome track. 1/4 Mile tracks in NC: Coastal Plains Dragway - Jacksonville Fayetteville Motorsports Park - Fayetteville Kinston Dragstrip (KDS Motorsports) - Kinston; although they are listed as 1/8 mile on most...

LLY: Who should I get my tune from?

In Rob's defense on the call back thing - if someone from PPEI called you at 8am EST it would have been 6am in Idaho. Not really a fair way to compare their service.

    Engine build

If you are back and forth with the manufacturer of a part that failed and hoping that they will help you with some of the costs of the collateral damages it is a courtesy to that manufacturer that you don't post things before they are known to be fact. You give them a chance to find and correct...

    HELP!!Wheel bearing snapping off continuously

The spines just make it turn. The nut and washer pulling in is what holds the bearing assembly together and you don't want to bottom out on the spines before you pull the hub together.

    Cam or Heads???

I have run 6460 and 6480 cams a lot and have never once thought "man this is about the biggest cam I could get away with driving or towing". Back when I bought my first 6460 Guy and others were all telling me to go 3388 cause the 6460 was too big, then I did everything with the truck people...
