    Cknight199 motor build thread

Do a google search for failed roller lifter, you will see a bunch of pictures of cams and lifters that look exactly like yours. I highly doubt that you floated a valve with the spring pressures you are running unless you had a bad spring or a sticky guide. Bad lifter bounce could have damaged...

In a static environment, yes both sides of the lobe face will see equal pressure. However in a dynamic environment you have the lifting lobe face trying to accelerate the valve open, spring pressure on the nose increases the more the valve is opened. On the downward cycle the valve has inertia...

The lift side is damaged because it sees the most pressure when trying to open the valve. That lifter failed at some point, that much is obvious.

Buy turbo/CP3 or pay off truck?

Few thoughts on this. Dont buy parts to make your truck faster and less reliable if a $300 monthly payment can put you over budget. Dont ever take out a loan for performance parts, only for parts that will get your vehicle back on the road, and really only if the truck is making you money. It...

    .90ar vs 1.0ar

That is a very good ratio. I am surprised you arent making more drive pressure than that with a tune that size.

well cheaper than a broken crank i guess. Good luck getting it sorted out. Cam lobes get wiped due to failed lifters, bad cam cores, or lack of lubrication. Valve float doesnt really hurt them as much as you would think, but can obviously cause other issues that can damage a cam. You would...

What's the status of your motor? Did you break it already? Thought you mentioned in the other thread you were having broken crank symptoms

I think I am going to die.... I decided it would be a good idea to start a six week old school squats and milk program. 1 set of 20 squats 20 pullovers 3x10-15 bench 20 pullover 3x10-15 straight leg deadlift 20 pullover 3x10-15 bent over row Plus drink a ton of milk every day. The old school...

    Allison 5sp: tow/haul "rocking"

I bet it is just because your tc is locking up. Both my trucks will get a little jumpy when the tc locks under low power situations at slow speeds.

    .90ar vs 1.0ar

I really dont think that your turbo selection should be holding you back at all. You have a lot of air on tap, for some reason it just isnt playing nice with your setup. Have you tried plugging the wastegate to drive the high pressure harder? My 472 was making 60psi of the 85psi total...

    .90ar vs 1.0ar

haha yea that will do it for sure. That is a serious crack. Bet you pick up some boost once that is fixed. About the whole .90 vs 1.0 thing, I run a .90 housing on my 472, really helped with daily driving it.

    Dual cp3 rail bouncing

Haha I heard that. Test hits on the street get interesting quickly with my truck.

    Dual cp3 rail bouncing

Mine was doing the same thing, regulator tuning helped some, but now I just dd in a small tune and have the race tunes set to go max rail. The small tune holds rail great and doesn't surge at all, if I try and run a bigger tune with the rail at under 180mpa it will surge. I have a fingers...

    Big compounds

You will hit a 10. I picked up a few mph just by getting a better 60', believe it or not. I bet you will see 128mph your next track trip if you balls up and launch that thing.:thumb:

    The White devil

I agree. When these things come online it is scary. Lag is minimal, obviously more than a stock turbo or 366, but if I mat it at 50mph it will downshift and light crazy fast. Like I have said before, I have not yet found a speed under 100 that it wont blow the tires off. I am interested to...

    The White devil

Havent run it yet. I had to come back to work for a month. Have to get a new 366 to put on it also. Im not expecting much difference in track times though, this thing was perfectly clean after 30 ft. The amount of air that these triples supply is pretty amazing. I should pull them all and...

Then why are you writing it in PPE's section if you bought it from Alligator? Have you contacted Alligator? They are usually very good with customer service.
