Question: Called out by an ecoboost

Are you sure it wasn't a 3.5L ecoboost? I thought they offered both the 2.7L and 3.5L ecoboost in the F150's?

I just gloss over anything that has been obviously edited. I don't understand why anyone would go to those lengths regardless of who it is.

    Dry Sump for the Duramax.

The pumps used to be very common in the motorcycle turbo world. Besides the electric pumps, there are also a couple of very small engine driven pumps out there that work very well. I believe one of them is made my NLR called a "pimp pump," the other that I'm thinking of is a very nice piece...

    Nitorus and the diesel

You are talking diesel, correct? ;) Your statement is impressive on it's own, but if you're referring to gas engines as well then it's even MORE impressive! :thumb:

    Nitorus and the diesel

It depends where in the stroke that the fuel is completely burned. If you can do it early enough, there is more leverage on the crank, so more power is made because the cylinder pressure is there early enough to take advantage of the crank position. For instance, if the fuel is still burning...

To funny, I just posted on a different topic with this in mind. Basically asked him why he doesn't take smaller steps and learn what the engine wants, not what he thinks it needs. "Buick" small block heads :thumb:

    Dry Sump for the Duramax.

Getting A to B should be first priority, you went directly to "kill" setting.

    Dry Sump for the Duramax.

Why not throw a soft tune-up in there to establish a good, solid repeatable baseline? Once you have that, the world is your oyster, turn it up bit by bit, sneaking up on it until you really have something that will make jaws drop. I believe you could probably do it, but it's got to be done in...

    Dry Sump Oil Setup

Having a negative pressure (vacuum) in the crankcase also really helps ring seal, which translates to more power. And as mentioned, oil control is a huge plus... and no worries about aerating the oil.

    At my wits end........

If you have even a small leak, a lift pump should be able to show where it's located fairly easily.
