    Nitrous for stock LBZ

Can a window switch be used on a diesel?

How high can you safely spin a stock LB7

How much RPM can a stock LB7 handle safely? Stock valve springs, stock cam, stock everything except the tune. Just curious, I certainly don't plan on approaching the limit unneccessarily ;)

    Nitrous for stock LBZ

Consistency is key, always run the same bottle pressure (once you figure out where you want it), hobbs switch set at a certain pressure, or WOT switch to activate, etc. etc.

    Nitrous for stock LBZ

You're definitely going to need a pressure gauge hooked up to the bottle so you can monitor where the pressure is at when you put it in the hot water or use a 12v heater. Too much pressure and you'll either blow the safety valve or over pressurize the solenoid(s) so they won't open.

Yes, I kind of noticed that after my first (and only) post to him ;) My bad, this post was my 2nd post to him

Wait....what? Formula 1 cars most certainly do not use diesel engines, never have.

    After market oil pressure light

You could use an adjustable Hobbs type switch that's NC (Normally Closed) and a simple light with just 12v + and - terminals; adjust the switch to activate at 20 psi, hook the ground wire from the light to one end of the switch and the other end of the switch to ground. When there's 20 psi or...

    LB7: Cam,relief advice needed

How do you know the specs of the different SoCal camshafts? I looked on their website and couldn't find that information.

    cam question

good point.... how much of that unique sound from a long duration/high lift cam in a gasoline engine is attributed to intake vacuum variances? (I would think it's actually very little, and most of it comes from exhaust pulses/waves due to reversion, etc.) Is that same unique sound missing from a...

    Makes sense.... thanks!

    cam question

On a gas engine, especially a 2 valver with overlap, a healthy cam has a unique unmistakable sound at idle speeds. It seems that gasoline 4 valvers with larger camshafts don't quite sound the same, although they too have a very unique sound at idle when enough lift/duration is being used with...

seems to me diesel is a lot more forgiving than gasoline. With gas, max power requires a certain fuel/air ratio (stio) otherwise too rich to make any power or too lean and you start to use aluminum for fuel. With diesel, the fuel/air ratio is less critical, but it's still just an air pump...

LML mods and dyno testing begins

Awesome. This is exactly what I (and I'm sure others) want to see. That's the kind of advertising that can't be beat, seeing competitors working together for the good of their customers. Well done.

Service 4WD on DIC - Feels like its hitting a rev limiter

This is a longshot, but check all your connectors to make sure a pin hasn't backed out somewhat. It could be making enough of a connection to work until you use full throttle. Just a thought.... good luck, keep us posted.
