That makes no sense?? You have excessive blow by but are not losing oil?? 2 things add oil- 1 is dieslel the other is coolant. Seems very unlikely that coolant would be the culprit. Have you done compression test yet?

    Need some opinions

I agree, I run 2 fake t-stats with 7/8" holes in them. Are they not going to have to be inline or something now? I spoke with Rob last time he was in Canada and he gave me some great advice on rad caps.

Kinda figured that but now T-stats are useless, Not that you need them and could incorpirate something down stream. The motor looks great!

Didnt he say he was losing oil? When i cracked a piston on my lly it came out of my crancase vents and covered the truck. Ive had my crank case vent hose freeze before, but i doubt thats brians issue.

    Well I guess it's time

Why the excessive blow by then? I agree ben it does seem strange to crack a piston however stranger things have happened. Perhaps bent rod and its letting excessive blow by? Seem like a new build time regardless:(

06 lly test drive, what to look for?

Id look for another truck at that price. but for any dmax id look at the coolant tank check wheel bearings, check the t-case, check u joints. if it had a banks tuner it prob b safe, id prefer that over a efi tune. look to see if it has the air intake changed, crankcase reroughted is there a...
