I run 5oz of ceramic beads in my 285-75R16s and they are very smooth. I tried them with the weights still on and had a vibration. I took off all the stick on weights and no more vibration.
Mine did the same until I changed the values. Here is what I am running, it idles around 5000.

fuel filter?
When is the last time you changed the fuel filter? I had basically the same thing happen and i thought for sure it went into limp. I even pulled over and shut off the truck and restarted with no change. When I got it home I canged the filter and problem sloved. Hope you get it...
The injectors were the old II Drangon fire. Pulse witdth was @ 3200 and max timing was 30*.
I think I could have hit 650 but did not turn off the over fuel PSI CEL, so it fell on its face after 3700rpms. I now have the bugs worked out of the tune and it pulls all the way to 4000rpms and that...
I have been running the long bars for three years. I do not have any noise at all and they do not affect my ride. I have pulled sleds, drag raced and tow with them. If your main concern is axle wrap and noise then you can't go wrong with long bars. Here is a pic of them, I just repainted them.
The straight center links also cause a lot of "bump steer". You can see it when you jack the front of your truck up and let the suspension hang. The wheels look like they are pointing at each other. As you let the truck down the wheels go back to the correct toe.
So if you get your truck...
I agree, I am coming from TN where I could go to a sled pull or drag strip just about every weekend. It would be nice to get something going here; I prefer sled pulling but would certainly hit the strip if necessary. :)
