    2017 Duramax

I'd prefer to have a rubberized bedliner over vinyl. It acts as a sound dampener to reduce the road noise over the vinyl and its water proof so you can actually hose the floor. I might do that in my truck when I rip out the interior to put sound deadener on, starting to get a little annoyed by...

    Titan Tank Feedback

Transfer flow hangs roughly an inch or so, which isn't bad as the Titans. Not that I'm bashing Titan which I do like because of the plastic design for no rust but it would be nice if they made a 45 gallon one that wouldn't hang that much below the frame. I've seen the transfer flow in person...

    Titan Tank Feedback

Tried that route before. It'll hit the axle.

    Titan Tank Feedback

I had looked into those before but decided against it. Fuel tank hangs like 3" below the frame and the "sheild" was is plastic I think. You don't really get the full 52 gallons, more like 46 gallons. And it has no baffles. I'd probably look into transfer flow.

    6L50 Transmission

Why not the 6L90? Pardon for my ignorance, but are those better than the 6L80?

Deaver Leaf Group buy - feeler thread.

10-14 weeks is a long wait, most people would just spend the money to have it shipped within a week. FYI I have 6" deavers and they do ride better than stock but they don't tow better than my stock springs. They sag alot on heavy loads. Unless you have them set up for a higher carrying capacity...

    2017 Duramax

Never knew that part but it makes sense. Most dually are used for business, rarely any around here are used for personal. At least with a commercial plate, you get free parking spots in Boston that is held for commercial vehicles.

    2017 Duramax

This and I'm not 100% sure but I believe it applies to commercial vehicles, not personal vehicles from what Trojan is talking about. I've towed over 10k lbs many times and my trailer is rated for 21k lbs with no issues. MA is starting to require drivers to have a CDL for trucks with a gvcw...

    To lift or not?

RCD is a good kit if you want one to hold up the abuse. I'd choose between RCD and Cognito for quality wise. My RCD has held up very well over the years. The only issue is to change the sway bar links to the cognito style in the RCD kit. I've broken too many bolts in the RCD sway bar link from...

    2017 Duramax

I can imagine how much cleaner the engine will look like under the hood when all that emission crap is removed.

    Avalanche doors on crew cab

Bump, does anyone know if the rear door is the same?!

    Avalanche doors on crew cab

Quick question, does the non cladded avalanche doors fit on the 06 Silverado? I know the front is the same but I am uncertain if the rear doors are the same. My passenger doors got gouged by a trailer and I found a set of mint doors off an 05 avalanche.

Allison 6sp: Output shaft / bearing

Replace it. The splines on the shaft has wear on it as well, looks like it was abused.

    New HSP Manifolds

I'm unable to tell but are those steel or cast iron manifolds?

Cat filter worth it or not

The 1R-0750 is not a water separator but the 326-1642 is a water separator. There are many models of the water separator CAT has.

    2017 Duramax

Why would GM allow the new engine to make that much torque if the current Allison isn't going to handle that power? Is there a possibility that the Allison will be updated for 2018 after the possible issues that may happen in stock power with the transmission for the '17 model?

Allison 6sp: Which pan is it?

Don't bother trying to fix that. You'll probably have a pinhole when you bend it back around the corner. Get a new one, they're fairly cheap.

    Twins with Twins, Anyone?

I use a rose bud torch and heat it up evenly by going around in circle. Most of the CAT techs do this to change over the flywheel ring gear. It's quicker and more effective IMO.
