6L50 Transmission

Anyone know anything about the new 6L50 transmissions that are behind the 2.8L Duramax Colorado? Wondering the potential of being able to hold some power. Does anyone know if they have any upgrade parts available?

I was going to look into replacing it with a 6L80.

Why not the 6L90? Pardon for my ignorance, but are those better than the 6L80?

Easier fit with a smaller case. Might be a bolt in with small mods. And it will hold the power.

Mike, I actually thought 6L80 and 90 cases were same size?.....Just different torque holding capacity due to internals?.....And if I had any direct input on the 6L50 behind the 2.8 I'd like to see some different TCM tuning. The 6L50 was originally behind the 3.6 V6 and I've still done repairs to the 456 clutch, 1234 clutch, and TC.
