II LB7 Heads with screw in cups

I am so happy that all my problems this year, and mega $$ spent on broken parts could benefit II so greatly :spit: , I had been working and talking with Randy about this all year glad to see he finally finished the design :baby: . The heads DTS did for me are very well done and like stated...

Help me make up my mind...

A S472 will work fine , but the only time I use them is in towing aps , we put a billet wheel in them so we can get the flow back up to what the cast S475 will do , there is not a huge difference in spool between the 2 , the exducer size on the wheel is identical , and the inducer is only 2-3mm...

    Billet aluminum block

People need to remember , this could open up a whole new set of options for us , forget about some of the simple benefits for a minute , and consider that one day we may be able to have a 500+ cubic inch dmax :D , its def out of my price range but def cool it might be a option one day .

Help: New guy with big ambition and limited knowledge

Ken I wouldn't put the problems you've had with your truck in the category of "normal" results , yes at over 1k HP any trans out the can have problems , but we have had pretty decent luck with our trucks so far , I have yet to loose a trans in my truck , and Matt and a few others have been doing...

    How would this setup do?

The waste gate has nothing to do with lighting the atmosphere turbo , nor does the A/R . The truck will spool slower with a very large low pressure turbo than it does as a single , the charge pipe will be under a vacuum until the rpm is high enough on the low pressure to push positive...

    Question: Billet shafts

I ran well over 1k on stock shafts , but they would have failed eventually , IMOP if you ever have it out put a Billet output shaft in it , until then wait till it breaks the cost is the same .

    Non wastegated single

We pride our selves in personally running all the turbo kits we sell to make sure they work properly and have first hand info when the product is ordered or questions about it need to be answered , we wouldn't be selling it if it didn't work properly or wasn't safe . The non gated S366 with...

    Duramax Monotherm Pistons

If i had to guess I would think Steve would test his set in Bucks truck , the other sets , I would like to see Rob try a set , he puts out plenty of HP and also gets a lot of passes in per year , I would still try a set pending cost and if a set was even available .

    Duramax Monotherm Pistons

The wrist pins in my motor have been lightened , there is a safe amount that can be removed , whether its enough to make a difference or not I dont know , I was told how much mine were lightened but cant remember now .

    Duramax Monotherm Pistons

X2 , also if you made sure to run a real light rod like a Carrillo , lightened wrist pins , ect i wonder how close you could get each rod and piston assembly to that of an aluminum setup ?

    Duramax Monotherm Pistons

Pat this may be a stupid question and i am almost positive you did but, but did you change all the Bidi controls in the TCM tune ? Most are set to over ride / ignore other commands over at a anything over 4k ( D5040 - D5047 )

    Clattering noise? Any ideas?

Not all injectors take the same changes to make work , some can still run on stock tune , minus lowering pulse width , other have to have alot more , I had a set of 60% overs recently that were harder to tune then my 200% overs , just try the test first and report back and see what you come up...

    Clattering noise? Any ideas?

2 things , could be bad injector , or it could be simply a tuning change needed for the larger injectors . Also do you have a stock fuel pressure regulator or a modded / LBZ ?

    Clattering noise? Any ideas?

I would bet its injector rattle , or exhaust leak , but if it was exhaust leak it wouldn't change with tuning changes might need the tuning adjusted , one way to check is take the DVT tool , and set the rail pressure to 7k , with it locked in at 7k rev the truck up and see if it goes away .

Its not that your wrong , its just no matter what approach you use running the hP it takes to run 11.8's it can break with any combo and others can do it and have good luck , your correct the larger injectors and bigger turbo setup will make for the best EGT's at WOT that can be had at that HP...

Post Pics of SDP & EPR Twin & Trips kits

I have painted a few and they hold up fine , but we only offer ours powder coated now , so it isnt really a choice , and the cost is already built into the kits so its not "extra" That one is a T-4 .
