LLY engine build on a budget

It removes the little lip that overhangs the bowl, making the sides of the bowl vertical.

LLY engine build on a budget

I would just have your stock ones de lipped if you are only going for 700hp. Now if you think you might get the itch to go bigger then I would consider going aftermarket.

    Building the lmm

Nice. It will be fun with those turbos.

LLY engine build on a budget

That's nonsense, 600hp is fairly common now for stock bottom end. My blue truck is in the 600hp range with nothing but a turbo. Just have to realize that you can bend a rod at any time.

LLY engine build on a budget

Lb7 and lly pistons are the same. So your pistons are good. I would not waste time with doing a rebuild with lml stuff. A set of rods aren't cheap but at least you know they are solid. These days 600hp is pretty reliable with good tuning. Built trans, turbo, tuning, lift pump and you are...

    bent rod symptoms

I am a bit surprised his truck survived that many 700hp dyno pulls, but my blue truck did run the same times on 100% stock fuel..... jussayin lol

    The White devil

No flow sheet, just the receipt for 100% over, 38lpm nozzles from industrial. The balance rates are actually very good at that.

Tuning is getting very close. Took a log of a soft 5psi launch on tune 2, 1650usec, 190mpa. Per the log it went 0 to 100mph in just under 7.3 seconds..... if that is anywhere accurate, which it should be considering the speedo is dead on, that is a deep 7 sec eighth. I'm getting more and more...

    Compound turbo oil feed

Feed your valley from the oil galley next to the filter and the big one from the gallery on the passenger side.

    Engine and transmission build!!!!!

    Won't make 600hp without a turbo.

    The White devil

So at 75psi the 366s aren't being driven hard at all, which is understandable because the gate is bypassing all of the turbos. Overall boost is 75psi, atmos boost is only 25psi. Mind you this is still only on a 1650usec tune, which with 100s shouldn't be much more than 600hp or so I wouldn't...

    The White devil

Somewhat. It doesn't track well under high load but I have it set to go max rail so it goes wide open when I do. Still working on it to get it right. I do know that a 2000usec tune will lose traction hard at 100mph. Scared the shit out of me when that happened.

Finally got some gauges and threw them on. I'm thinking that these injectors are a little larger than 100s.... I'm making 75psi in fifth on a 1650usec tune. This tune blows the tires off at 55 or less, and will spin them hard at 75 when the converter locks.

    Weight Lifting/Body Building/Strong Man/Training thread

To be perfectly honest I'm not doing much as far as the optional stuff goes. I work 12 hour days on the ship from noon to midnight, so after that I like the nice short workouts. My bench has always been pretty solid so Im not expecting huge gains on that. week 2 squats and deads last night...

Thank you too. I actually feel that my squat could be more if i would do low bar squats, but i prefer a more high bar, narrow stance style since I have had some lower back issues. All my squats are below parallel, i have very good ankle mobility as well.

Haha, thanks. Yea that is pretty accurate. Pretty much like how much HP we want. Only want 550...wait 650....why not 1k....:spit:

    Weight Lifting/Body Building/Strong Man/Training thread

Thanks man, im trying. Squats and deads are coming up the fastest because I neglected doing them for so long. Only thing that i dont like about the program is some of the bench days feel a little easy, i usually throw in a couple more de-load sets so i can actually feel like i got a workout.

Ah good point. forgot about that.
