    "OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

    I dont understand how you guys get so many limps out of the stock trans, mine limped 3x and that was IT. Barely made it back to the shop the third time. :confused:

    I cut a piece out of the middle of my stock drain and put in a piece of oil rated high temp silicone hose. Its been good for over a year.

    I guess ignition switch. If you put a ECM in on a guess you are NUTS. I'm a tech and there is a saying in the business. "Its never the computer" and ive seen it proven true often!

    I know this is a old thread but since its been bumped and for anyones future reference I did end up doing head gaskets and studs a few months later to cure the excessive cooling system pressure problem, it also took care of the grayish coolant.

    Not sure what they are wanting to charge you but I just had a set of heads done at a local machine shop with plenty of dmax experience and it was like $1,032 for a complete valve job, deck heads, reseal cups, and replace some of the guides. Its the same shop that did the machine work on my heads...

    Do a valve job, I was cheap and didn't and pulled the passenger head to get a valve job done 3 days later because it was popping out the intake. FML
