Thanx, I was just a little nervous about disabling a DTC, even if it does not apply to my current setup.
I was just wondering if there was another way to make this code go away.
It is working great for me also.
I did have to direct EFILive to where my drivers were located (for some reason it was not looking in the correct location) after I installed Windows 7, but other than that I have had no issues. Look here: http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=12210
I finally solved all the oil leaks and got to actually run around with my new HTT installed. P0238 keeps getting thrown. I know it is because I am getting more boost than the 37psi that throws the code.
Can I simply change this DTC to "X: Not Reported" under Engine Diagnostics/DTC Test...
I'm not sure about the blinkers, but I wanted to have clearance lights on my CC, and when I looked for the wires under the headliner, there was no provision for the clearance lights.
I think GM makes every wiring harness specific to the VIN and the options ordered to save on $$. If you do not...
That would not be a bad idea, but I am not sure how much of a problem it would really be.
If you are that cold, I am assuming that you are using some sort of synthetic oil, and are NOT letting the truck cold soak, then starting it without being plugged in. I would think a synthetic should...
Solved!!:happy2:
I think the fitting provided in the kit is just fine, but I wanted the added security of sealing the oil gallery the way that Isuzu intended.
The new HTT is sure :coolspot:
Another thing you can do is to use sheet metal to add shear to the framework. It is lightweight, and can be spot welded to add a little stiffness without too much weld weight. It may also be a quick way to "tub" the inside if you wanted to clean up the appearance or smooth out the aerodynamics...
:mad:I HATE oil leaks!
After my HTT install, I developed an oil leak between the block and the new oil line fitting. I do not like the washer/o-ring combo seating flat on the block where a taper seal used to exist with the galley drain plug.
I had a machine shop cut the threads off the...
Not really a kill... but it sure surprised the guy with the 6.0 Ford (empty truck-nothing in the back) when I passed him on a 6% grade hill. He was surprised to see me come up beside him. I never really saw the look on his face when he saw the 28'-7000# Airstream behind my truck.:rofl...
X2, check your rail pressure
That sounds like what I had going last spring (at 130k miles)....it turned out to be a bad FPR (and a couple of marginal injectors were not helping). I ended up doing a new CP3 and injectors. Problem solved.
I had a Banks Six-Gun Bundle w/PDA, it worked great, but don't be fooled....it will break the tranny if you leave it on the higher tunes and work the truck. I never had any issues towing (max weight was about 10k #) with it on level 6. I put a 2800# slide in camper in the bed and limped the...
The LB7 has a fixed vane IHI turbo with a wastegate. No variable vane for that one.
I believe that the Garrett unit is aftermarket for the other engine models.
NOPE....:(
But I did get it running...:thumb: on the jack stands :(, I wanted to have clear access to the exhaust system in case of any exhaust leak caused by the HTT, the RDL uppies, or the BD manifold. So far no issues with the exhaust or the oil line.
I shut it off and then then I pulled...
Then, dual cp3's, 75% over sticks, traction bars, drag slicks....:D
Then...head studs, rods, cut pistons, main studs, stage II heads...after you bend the stock rods
I'm not sure about all of them, but the HTT uses the same design as stock. It modifies a stock drain and raises the flange that attaches to the bottom of the turbo. The HTT pedestal is taller than the stock combo unit (the IHI is a pedestal/turbo/wastegate unit, the turbo/wastegate is separate...
In my case this is the turbo I wanted BECAUSE I am thinking of twins...:D It is kind of a go big or stay home type of thing for me. It may be a while for the twins, but the HTT makes a good base for a set of big twins.
I also need to get the stocker out...and I am happy I did, it was just...
