i am about to buy both but my laptop is not working so i gonna buy a new one also but i gonna buy a netbook if possible but the opertating system is windows 7 starter edition. will this work with efi live? thnaks for your guys help in advance

It is working great for me also.
I did have to direct EFILive to where my drivers were located (for some reason it was not looking in the correct location) after I installed Windows 7, but other than that I have had no issues. Look here: http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=12210

ok has anyone used it on the starter edition on netbooks. they say some software doesnt work on it but most do tho. thanks tho guy

My netbook is Windows XP. Can't help with Windows 7
. But I just downloaded the software and loaded it up.You might try the EFILive Forum. They seem pretty on the ball when I ask an EFI tech question there....

I have a netbook with windows 7 starter, I can change tunes fine with it, i havent gotten the v2 to properly work yet, but may have an answer later today for you.
oh ok you think it has to do with the starter edition? or just your v2. i trying to figure out if i should buy a netbook or not thanks
V2 will work fine with Larry's setup. Larry's issue is that he is running the lastest V7.5.6 software which is only compatible with newish V2 firmware and bootblocks. Once he does the upgrade to make his V2 compatible with his EFILive software he'll be fully operational.
Larry's issue does not relate to Windows 7 or his netbook. I've been dealing with Larry offline to try and resolve it, but he's been out of town for a couple of days. Hopefully he'll be able to post that it's all fixed soon.

I have an external drive that plugs in to a USB port, or you can download the software from EFI Live's website.
