    If money is not going to be a problem I would not use the 83 or the 96 tw. They are 30 years old. I like the 87mm tw it is new technology and flows close to the 96mm tw.     When I get a 6.4 in the shop its usually a 5 to 10k job. Cab has to come off for basically any major repairs. They do run good and get good fuel mileage. The 5r110 trans is a good unit as well imho.

    Is the tcm still commanding tcc duty cycle when it happens? If so I would say you are loosing apply pressure to the clutch which would be odd, or the clutch is slipping. If the Tcm is releasing the tcc, than I would log all the speed sensors as well as tfpsw and range switch logic and report back.
