    LB7: Whats going on??

Is it leaking at the plastic connections? They do get brittle. Dumb question but you did loosen the screw on top of filter housing right lol

    LB7: Injector issues

Don't worry about it. Put the new ones in and run it. And that's carbon as stated above. Not dirt.

How much longer will this cylinder last.

Haha glad you got a since of humor. I'm laughing about the whole thing to. I just wanted to give you hard time lol.

How much longer will this cylinder last.

Chevy1925 you sound kind of bitter? I love my trucks. 447,000 on a half ton and 239,000 today on that truck you say I don't care for? I'm my own mechanic. I dont try and make more work for my self. But if it's running why spend money when someone might take me out tomorrow and total the truck...

    LB7: New to LB7s

Haha I did do that with a half ton. Worked for 50k miles before it wore another hole. Then I had it fixed for 350.

How much longer will this cylinder last.

It really is. I started this tread in 5-15. And all the non Sayers said it wouldn't last. I'm proving them wrong.

How much longer will this cylinder last.

Well it's been almost a year. Truck is still running strong. I've put 40k miles on it and most have been pulling 7k pounds. Cylinder is holding up. I'm going to drive it till it dies. Only burns oil and not that much when towing heavy loads. Maybe a quart over 5k oil changes. I did have to do...

    Head Gaskets

I pulled my cab in an hour and half. It was well worth the extra work. But I had access to a two post lift.

Cool deal. Keep us updated. I'm currious if the other 3 will hold up

    LB7: No start issue lb7

One more thing. Check to see if your starter bolts are tight. I worked on a buddy's 03 dmax the other day for a no start condition. He's owned this truck since new. A crawl under and the damn bolts are loose. I'm still scratching my head over that one. No reason for 14 year old truck to up and...

    LB7: No start issue lb7

Also double check your grounds to your battery's. Make sure the bolt is tight and the cable doesn't spin or is loose!! The bolt can be tight but cable will move.

    LB7: No start issue lb7

The first thing you should do every time is see if you have 12volts to the starter solenoid when you have a no crank situation. Eliminates a lot of the guessing.

LB7: Seeking Wisdom on LB7 Injector Job...

I'm a shade tree mechanic also. Bought my first dmax lb7 and within 5k miles I was going injectors. It's an easy job. Just pray you don't have any valve cover bolts round out. Yes you need a good set of Allen head sockets. If the return lines strip vise grips will break them loose. It's really...

    2004 LB7 with one injector at -8

I ruined some injectors doing a head job. When you pull the high pressure line off all kinds of crap falls into the injector. I vacuumed it out and still ruined them. I would do all 4. Also silicone the top of the nut on the high pressure. It'll keep the line inside clean

ABS, brake light, turn indicator issue

Sounds like your losing a ground somewhere. Are you just inspecting the grounds visually or using an omh reading to verify the cable isn't broke inside.

Plus that water pump is a pain to change. Have to pull the balancer off.

LB7: Looking to get an LB7

Yeah the coolant would be a done deal for me. It's going somewhere. Just saw the price. I'm thinking 9k max running great no issues. I told myself I would never buy another lb7. Even though I like mine. I really like the lbz with 6 speed auto. Also the 08s and up a few years are cheaper than the...

LB7: Looking to get an LB7

I hated mine at first love it now. Of coarse that was after head gaskets and injectors lol. The best thing about these is the no emissions at all. The low coolant would bother me. Maybe the water pump starting to leak. Common at that mileage. The other down side it is a used car sales place. I...

    Need help!!!!!

I would definitely try a rad cap first. Cheap right. does your upper hose suck down after it's cool? Then does it build pressure in the hose right after starting?
