    I would still just fill it up to the add mark. Quart or so low. It makes it a lot easier to tell if your making oil and how fast.

    Ok thanks. The main reason I started this thread was because of the egr pipe I pulled off the lly I was working on. I'm still planning on deleting it and thinking of leaving the pcv alone.

    On the lb7s it's a metal line to top engine to bottom in front of engine behind radiator. And I don't see any complaints about freezing on them. Or am I wrong?

    Like others had said. Make sure it's not making oil. First thing I would do is change the oil. Takes 2.5 gallons. See what it does. Maybe leave it a quart low. See if your making oil.
