Hit some bench and squats today. Tri’s are feeling a little beat up. Been hitting them hard. Starting to affect my bench days a tick.

Sunday funday leg/ booty work with abs.. yeah I said booty get over it.

Front squats up to 225x3
Straight leg deads with a 5" deficit up to 225 for sets of 15
Sumo deads to 315

Abs between everything.. tanned and protein shake.. it's pretty boy season lol


Just got 15 lbs of meat out of the deep freeze, smoker meal prep today

My father in law died 3 days after Christmas & I lost 10 pounds in the last 4 weeks. My strength is gone. :mad: I’m about to say f it and not even worry about getting bigger. Not being able to keep weight on sucks so bad. I physically can’t eat enough food. It makes me sick. My body wants <2000 cal/day and no dairy. It’s difficult for me to drink 1 mass gainer whey protein shake every other day. I function perfectly fine on 1 meal per day. I think I’m gonna re-evaluate what my goals are and find a nutritionist this year.

What do you mean your body wants less than 2000 cal/day?

3x10 squats @ 60%, 225lbs.

Then:
10-8-6-4-2 deads at 275, between sets: 8 double KB swings (hilarious, no doubt) and 8 reverse lunges with both kettlebells, front rack. Did it with 55 pounders and it was just about right. :thumb:

Still clawing back to normalcy after another bout with the back, but feeling good.

shoulder is still not feeling 100%..

but did

275x8rx5s on flat bench
185x8rx5s on incline
225x8rx5s on decline

then 5 sets to failure on chest dips.

I'm not giving up by any means. I'm just hitting reset. I've been beating myself up mentally about my weight for the last year and I got too obsessed with numbers. I'm going to work with what I've got and if I gain a few pounds, great.

What do you mean your body wants less than 2000 cal/day?

The less I eat, the better I feel. Twice a day is good enough for me. I can get up at 5 am and not feel hungry until 11am. I'll eat breakfast or a sandwich for lunch and I'm good until 7-8pm. If I eat more than that, I'm bloated for days until I fast for a day or two.

365 went up pretty good today but stopped there.

Same boat for me, just trying to get back to where I was...
shoulder is still not feeling 100%..

I have been doing banded rotator exercises before any pressing. It’s made a big difference in how my shoulders feel.

Working with Mark Bells slingshot after 4-5 regular sets has strength climbing very well. It helps you get used to the bigger weight and keeps form perfect and saves my shoulder big time. We did few sets of 405 for one with it after our regular sets were done. The last 2 weeks we 385 for a few. It's definitely helping. My shoulder will never be close to 100% but I dont expect it to be and I'm cautious.

Did chest today, partner worked late so I went at it without him. Warmed up on flat and did a solid 6 sets of 3 with 315 with no spot, might do this another week or 2 and jump to 325. Felt good for sure, then did some curls.
We're doing bench day, squat day, bench day, deads lift day. I'm already getting stronger on chest hitting it more often.
