You can get away with the tts setup in the 6 speed because of the engineering change in the C2 drum, but it won't do well in the five speed.
I went with the TTS kit, except I changed all the clutches to altos. The only problem I had was in the Valve body with the E-shift valve other than that its doing well. Ill eventually switch to a suncoast kit later on when I go for more HP.
Don't you mean 300psi George?
I meant 30 more psi than the TTS kit, along with minimal, if not any, cut back under lock up.
Thanks for picking that up Mike, I'll be sure to return the favor.
See that everyone....where would we be without Mike L....he is our hero.
Rob, we don't need any pics....you are IDAHO ROB....we know they will be perfect.
Rob doesn't have the same converter, he has a 1057.
You have a similar trans as E. Carter, but neither yours or Robs is even like his. 30psi more mainline along with no or minimal cut back will mask a weakness in a trans. The guy who started this thread has a 5sp, which in stock configuration, has proven to be weaker than the 6sp.
Tuning will play a major role in a trans living as far as shift quality, but HP will smoke a weak clutch... taking the shifting out of the picture. This guys problem was the C1, which shifting has nothing to do with, as it comes on and stays on....til it goes off of course.

I have had a full set of Altos sitting on the shelf for over a year ready to go in the truck. Haven't needed them yet.
With a couple of MikeL mods and the co-pilot, my stock clutches seem to work well, even with back to back 11.7 second passes and 100's of 12 second passes.
I may tear into it this winter for a converter change. I'll check the clutches and take photos and post up good or bad.

No George, you were right, Rob is running a 1057. For some reason I thought he was running the same one as the one in my 07.
what changs did they make to the c2 drum. and could you put one in a 5sp tranny or would it even help
