Ok, the latest is my C1's are toast but to my surprise the C3's are fine. Mike and myself are discussing the best solution at this point.

I think the TTS kit banks some on most people dont run 500hp EFIlive tunes or PPE Hot+2. I am sure the TTS stands up to the edge, preditor, ect... just fine. On the other hand Idahorobs truck holds up, so who knows.

On another note, not wanting to blasting any installers, but if he was a suncoast installer, how would he not know where the spacer went?

Idahorobs truck has more then just a TTS KIT. As far as my installer he was reffered to me by suncoast so I do not know why there was confusion on the Shim. I do know he had a dodge and a chevy there yesterday getting a stage 4 installed when I droped my tranny off.

Ah well, as long as this goes together right and holds up, its a done deal. Cant really say anything good or bad about TTS other than what I read, but there is alot of bad press I must say.

The Dodge trans in the Spruill truck is a Suncoast by all reports.

The trans in it before was a Suncoast from what I heard.

But understand that whatever the reports are about content of a TTS-sponsored truck are seldom, if ever, reported accurately. It's like a pre-requisite that you fib about your mods to get the soup.

But if TTS is telling people that an Allison cannot hold the power a Dodge trans can hold, then I would be very suspicious about any transmission information they post.

yea i have seen alot of things tts post and it dont add up and that i would not get one of there kits . from what i was told when u get up over 800 and above there are some problems with the allision but that coming form suncoast. i just dont want to see tts take the credit for trans work they had nothing to do with.

TTS claimed victory when they got a fresh TTS Allison to last 2 passes last year in Las Vegas before letting go. Maybe 650HP if you are being very generous. Certainly nowhere near 800HP. We know with proper tuning an Allison will hold 800rwhp and shift clean. I remember when it was a problem to shift at 500HP, so it is reasonable to expect 1000hp Allisons in the near future.

I will be building an Alli for a truck over 1100 hp. I can't mention names but she is a well known truck. :secret:

Suncoast themselves told me that an allison will never hold up the way a dodge trans will under serious power. Not possible at this point it time.

The problem with the Alli is electronics.

Really? Perhaps someone could explain why the #1 problem with the Dodges is Trans Failure for losing races. ProStreet Dodges have a better than 50% attrition rate per event.

Yes, on the InterWebbyThingy, there is never a problem with a Dodge, but when you actually attend these events and watch, Dodge's greatest enemy is their trans.

Like at the finals in Texas, I don't believe one Dodge survived. Colorado, ditto.

This is why you never see detailed posts about Dodge attrition at these events. It gets too real for their taste, so it's hidden from the public eye. When people capture the failures on tape, it's always something "minor".

If the Spruill truck has any problems with their Dodge trans, you won't ever hear about it. It's just the Code of the Secret Squirrel.

Just curious, have you seen this info posted on the Web?

No I was at the event and was wondering where bucks truck was, and I was told that it was at the house and they were taking the trans out to fix some internal issues

Buck and Steve showed up later in Bucks tow truck (an LBZ) and then dynoed 599 and then claimed it was all motor and steves tuning when it clearly was spraying
