LBZ: Trans build prep

Here's the fluid I picked up for my trans break in. Wrong stuff? Or will it work? I'm assuming after 5k I can change to my transynd...

Break in fluid isn't the right wording. But I plan on going back to transynd ones I've got some miles on the new tranny. Never did manage to find any quadrasynd. Can't even find info on the stuff. Two weeks, that's when this all happens as long as weather permits and I have all my pieces/parts.

X2. I always thought you should stay with DEX 3 with a built trans.

I believe that is Dex3.

I know what he got is dex 3 but I'm saying I thought you should keep running it once you build the trans. The better clutches don't wear into the steels like the stock ones do.

Maybe I misunderstood, seemed like transynd was still the best fluid to use, but Dex 3 was preferred.

I can't remember how mike explained it to me but after talking with him, dex 3 is what I went with and stay with

So how often does one change Dex 3? I run transynd because I put a lot of miles on my truck, 60k per year. I'm assuming a couple changes each year.

So how do I get the valve and spring out of the pump? I didn't see the bolt and machined aluminum piece in my kit to extract it so I need to get creative.

Did your kit come with a shim or a spring? If so, call SunCoast and ask them to send you the tool.

Set the stator support in a drill vise with the PR retainer pointing up. Chuck a drill in and use the drill press as a press.
