The "square body" trucks ('73-'87 ('91 on Blazers/Suburbans)) that everyone seems to love so much had very square wheel openings.

Agreed. We bought the wife's 2007 Tahoe LTZ in the 1st week of May, 2006 2 full months before I bought the 2006 GMC.Kinda like what they did with the GMT-900 Tahoes. They were released as 2007 model year vehicles, very early in the 2006 calendar year.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they like the Tundras now? Even the extended cabs have 4 full doors and the cc just have bigger doors. I think that pic posted is an ext cab... I could be wrong though

I'm going to have to switch forums. Fords are so much nicer. If I'm spending 50-60k on a new vehichle, the interior better be big and luxurious, and the tires better fit in the gd wheel wells! Gm engineers have always had troubles with shapes. A circle doesn't fit into a square hole for hecks sake!

I am very pleased to see that they have finally adapted to the use of projector headlights.....
