4140 is good steel. Way better than what we have stock.....BUT it is to be heat treated properly, or it will crack easily.

Well I received my first sample a bit ago in the mail and found that the stock rod with bolts weighs in at a hefty 1,160.4 grams or a bit over 2.5 pounds!

My Carrillos weighed 1072 g.Anyone know what is the weight of the Howards Rod or Carrilos?
