Has anyone had any luck finding the Mocal unit part #SP2CT? I haven't been able to find one any where? A couple months ago you could buy one. All of the links people have posted to racerspartswholesale.com no longer work?

Newbie on the board, but i have own an LLY since 2005, I am on my 2nd LLY my Last LLY got totaled by a drunk driver. My new LLY has a lot basic modifications. Intake, LBZ turbo inlet, pcv re route, egr block of plate, banks exhaust and tunes by idaho rob. My truck is my daily driver, but I also tow with it. I am taking a trip this summer to Zion Utah and I would like to install aux cooler. I browsed through all the post and seen different way the cooler has been mounted. Has anyone tried mounting the oil cooler behind the grill? if so which oil cooler are you running and what transmission cooler are you guys running?

There is a point where too many radiators and coolers stacked up will start to block airflow and become ineffective. Also you are heating up the air running through the stack even more so while oil temp may go down it may start to impact the coolant and boost temps

Not to mention there may not be enough room for some people's set up

Something to think about

the idea is to keep heat out of the cooling stack. Your a/c condenser will be heat soaking the cooling stack already. add in ~230* air from the oil cooler and you are compounding the issue you are trying to solve.

So who’s going to be brave enough to put vents in their hood, bet you wouldn’t need an aftermarket cooler.

too a point, i would believe it but there will be a temp threshold and/or hp threshold where even that aint enough, towing.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I might just do a silverado SS front and rear bumper. The SS bumper has a nice opening that the cooler get air with out cutting anything

The cooler I got from Turbotug went behind the bumper, directly behind the vents. The one on the 05’ is a cross diesel cooler that attaches to the round cross member that the front skid plate bolts onto, so kind of under and behind the bumper. It is a little exposed and I would worry a touch if I were off road a lot...
