Got my trans built but shifts extremely hard

It should've been sent with your c3 clutch pack. It is supposed to install between the carrier and the plastic spacer. It keeps the ring gear engaged to the c3 clutches since the backing plate is probably thinner than stock.

I see how that would work I'll go dig through my stuff to see if I missed it but I'm pretty sure I didn't see one.

That's the top clutch that's the only thing that's really noticeable in the whole this that was chewed up that's what was in the filter but do you think if I move it to the center or the clutch pack it will be good or do I need to call suncoast and order a single clutch f they will even do that?

See my c3 an c4 clutch pack had all way to thick steels in it so if it was supposed to come in that pack that's probably why it wasn't in there because the pack was messed up anyway

Well its only one and I'll call suncoast tomorrow about that spacer and tell them that that one clutch got messed up maybe they will sent me another clutch with the spacer if I'm lucky lol

So that solves that issue now about my c4 issue having to much clearance any reason .069 is to tight of clearance suncoast calls for .070-.075 I can get .069 if I swap out 2 steels for the thicker ones and then that would be my second gear issue correct? If I put a new pump on then does that sound like all of my issues are solved?

If you don't have a spacer like Mike asked about that is 99% of your issues.

Call Suncoast and find out why they didn't send you one.

Questionable parts always go in the trash. Never take that chance on something like this. It isn't worth it.

Well I'm gonna have to wait for a spacer anyway so I'm gonna get the clutch at the same time ima go ahead and order a pump tomorrow as well not sure mine is really bad but it's got a touch of play and idk what spec is so might as well replace it and I'll need a deep pan filter as well and hopefully it'll all go back together and have no issues this time haha

I want to make sure that the white ring is in the correct place when I pull it apart originally that was a white ring but for some reason the new one seems a little big.

When I put everything together the first time every ring was replaced by book and they all matched color and size the white ring was the last one and that's the only ring I hadn't changed and it was pretty much the same size what does that ring do exactly?
