Talked to D today.... Guys this is actually going to be a good showing for the dmax crowd. Some big names have a hand in this besides Dmitri and Custom Auto. I can't share a lot of the info, but I can say It'll be an intense motor.
I like Dmitri, and I like duramaxes, but Shane would take this one. I don't think it will happen though as Shane has nothing to prove on a dyno. He puts them to good use, tuning.
They are trying a few things, and they will go with what works best. Not all diesels are DI. Alot of Diesels used to be IDI.

I bet after they read the article about Shane's motor maxxing out an engine dyno at more than 2500+Hp might have them re-thinking this challenge, lmao! You don't give someone a healthy hp crutch without knowing what the outcome will be and Shane is no spring chicken boys. If he could even get somewhere close to 2,000hp on fuel only I would be impressed! Good luck!:thumb:
No doubt Shane would win it but I really doubt it will ever happen now. I'd really like to know what kind of torque numbers his motor makes
