Chevy1925 (James) motor build
well knocking on the door of 40k miles on the motor and it's looking like I may be pulling the heads off sooner than later. Injectors are not bad yet with one at 2.5 balance rate and rest at 1.0 or less but we all know lb7s are a matter of "when" not "if".
that said, i got to talking to brian and came upon a great price for me to buy all his LLY conversion stuff from his motor build he was doing. In a month or two ill be tearing the top end off the truck to do an LLY conversion in her. This will give me a chance to see the pistons and how they are holding up as well as recheck piston protrusion and try to tighten up quench as much as i can with a HG change. Injectors will be stockers going back in for a while till i save my pennies enough for 50-55% over tips again (little higher than 45% overs to match the stock lb7 45% overs in fuel rates i have now).
heads are stock LLY that have been refreshed with hamilton valve springs. The direction of the swap im going is the one that retains all the factory gauges and such in the truck and the LLY ECM is used. this way, down the road, the Limo can get a danville stag2r 68mm and a 483 over it :woott:
ill post pics as things roll in.
