Heck, that small amount its off could be attributed to the rust flaking off that end. Id replace it just to be safe, though.

I've got bellow at both ends of mine.. I defused a lot of leveraged force to get it off
I'll get better pic when I get back, sister's present came in this afternoon so heading 3hrs to deliver and see them

The 4125-176 is the part inside that connects to the column and extends out side and connects to the 435-121 version.

It's collapsible.

176 is the part that goes through the firewall. Got it.

Wonder how involved that will be. it didn't "collapse" easily and most definitely not going to "extended" easily
Yes, That's the collapsable part in case of a severe accident to keep the column out of your chest like the old cars...

The Borgeson replacement I have here is also stiff and requires alot of force to extend and collapse it.

I'm familiar with the functionality of the stuff. Just figured it was the part in the engine bay due to how easy one can bend the bellows

Been productive on a lot of other things last couple days🤦🏻‍♂️

😂 Yeah, steering shaft is reconnected, used a ratchet strap and a hammer to get it extended..
using the 06 older front brake hoses as the frame mount tabs are not the same for 07-10. And the 09 tabs are junk.
Power steering is mounted plumbed and primed.
Working following
on getting brake master cylinder plumbed. Manage to salvage the fittings on the MC.
Mounting the newer old calipers I snagged of an donor truck years ago.
Do some reverse bleeding.
Got a pressure tank that I can shove fluid from caliper to MC. I loosen the MC to ABS shove fluid from wheel to there then I'll shove fluid from the ABS to the MC.. that should have 90% of the air out of the system.
Get get the CV shafts back in.
Steering stabilizer mounted.
Harness routed.
Fuel lines routed
Dig out trans mount install it. Trans has a slow leak.. I haven't investigated it yet.
Still got trans lines to install.
Tight U-bolts on rear axle.

Nice!!! I was digging through the parts for my LBZ build and I saw that thing sitting there staring me in the face.

What did you end up doing for all the main Brake lines? Were you able to source from that company in your area?

Just Ran my own. The couple places I called including fast line their techs didn't really have any hands one experience/knowledge when pressed on specific questions

Most is Nico line, one is poly steel, ran out of Nico 1/4" used left over steel 1/4" stuff I had.. new 5/16 Nico for MC lines as well

I haven't found aftermarket replacement for the line to hose fittings for the 06-10 thread pitch.
I'll probably have to replace the steering stuff at a later date.

Yep it's a relief, pulling a trigger found a RCSB truck with power windows, locks and mirrors going to upgrade my truck to them, hopefully it's plug and play for the electrical side.
I wish I knew the electrical side better on the GMT 900. I can pull diagrams and you can check the wires and see if they are in place on the dash side.
