Well wrapped up my Malibu, for the most part.
Juggled the barn around, and this thing landed in the projet spot.
Mind has been running circles on what needs done, and what I want to do.
Transmission leaks,
Engine leaks either upper or lower oil pan area, I cleaned the valley out when it was on the floor.
Re-tubing the rear driveshaft with new u joints
Front rotors pads calipers
Shocks
Fan clutch
Headlights/grille
Belt, and related idlers and tensioner
Swap 125A to 160-170a alt,
Boost, EGT, EOT gauges and 3 spot pillar
Fleece high flow intake sending unit.
High flow CP3 supply
New batteries,
Wheels and tires, going 315/70/17, with either H2 17"x8.5" or GM 5 spoke 17*7.5"
body mounts
Thinking really hard on the BD 1032150 steering kit I don't know if it works with the cognito steering brace?
Cognito upper A-Arms
Then there build trans, left over parts from my LMM dually which includes .040 over 17.5 ovals, Hamilton camshaft, add rods, sportsman's CP3, head studs, build it around the GT4088R turbo I still have. Iirc max effort on that turbo is 625-650
4.10 or 4.30 gears with true trac in the rear diff
And hot/cold high flow intake with Y-bridge
Swap to 7 hole LBZ injectors
Upgrade balancer bolt, injector hold down, rocker arm shaft bolts
L5P oil cooler up grade

Well the 2020- current L5P EOC are starting to trickle in so hopefully it won't be as much of an issue when your ready. I was able get everything from GM withen a week when I ordered mine a few weeks ago. Some places still show out of stock and I have heard from a few they were waiting on back orders. I didn't have any trouble though.
@1FastBrick
I pulled it over to not clust up the thread..

l might just do the EOC upgrade when I put a new built short block in next year which would be the ovals from my hotshot LMM, entry level rods lml crank probably re-use, see if the old Hamilton cam is still good, maybe send it up to Eric at no limit and have him make a new one.
mains and head studs think that should live nice below 700hp

I went with the callies rods and reused my crank after keying it and having it magnafluxed. I went with the Mahle Race cast on mine. Defintly want to keep it under 700 on mine.

Crank and cam are keyed, has stock rods currently on that engine. So new rods means rebalance.
From reading my old drama thread the Hamilton "192/200" cam made a big difference, Zack does not offer dmax stuff anymore on his website.. I don't remember if I got a cam card with it. If I did IDK where I put it
Edit found cam card spec in email

Thank you,

Hamilton Cams
IDK if it's these guys

Sent email to the later inquiring about said cam

Also been window shopping twin turbo kits mainly 300/400 or possibly IHI/400

If I'm reading that correctly, that wagler stg1 is 216/226° and 0.416/421". Compared to the 192/200° 0.480/509" of Hamiltons cam..
that's a lot more duration than I really want, especially when I start towing again. I've had 30k trailer behind the truck with the Hamilton cam.. I really don't want to go bigger
I have sent an email to no limit manufacturing about duplicating Hamilton's cam, wouldn't surprise me if wagler was capable as well

Have you checked with socal diesel? https://shop.socaldiesel.com/durama...firing-order-camshafts/duramax-camshaft-3388/ they offer both standard and alternative firing order and 2 specs in each. Spec's not listed on their site and they are really proud of those cams.

Never had any dealings with this guy, but if he can get a blank he will grind anything you want I think. https://www.powellmachineinc.com/shop?Engine+&+Components=Camshafts he has a youtube channel that I like to watch b/c he does not bash people. Nice short videos discussing engines and builds, goes into depth on camshafts so much that he started a second camshaft channel only.

If got emails/messages out to several companies, including the guys that supposedly bought the line from Zach Hamilton.
If I were to get a custom cam done it would probably. From the stabs at
Or from wagler.

Buying a common cam with out specs off the shelf is so '60s IMO

I like knowing where I'm at and where I'm going vs blind shots in the dark..

If you still have the old Hamilton cam, Powell can make a pattern off it. He might be able to repair it too.

From what I remember about that wagler stage 1, was it was close to factory with some more lift.

I'll just link your cam post here..

So far I've heard back from wagler, they won't do anything related in this fashion. Probably would if you spent well into 5 figures with them.

Did hear back from the company that bought the line from Zack, wait to hear if they've made changes..
That was the 3 he made when he made them
