    Box to protect lift pump

    No real need for a box. Mines been under my truck for probably 5 years and other than the bracket looking a little beat up, no issues with it being exposed. Its been in rain, snow, mud, and temps from -10 to 110.

    I wouldn't call the factory bare minimum, there are plenty of trucks on this site with a ton of electrical upgrades still on the stock alternator

    The only true way to know would be to have it tested by an electric shop. My alternator is upgraded to 200 amps, but physically looks identical to a stock alternator.
