    Anybody done an 80% Lower?

varies but most can be bought pretty cheap. I bought a couple to stash in my safe and plan to build at least 1 of them for myself. Think I paid $45 or $50 for mine

LB7: Upper Oil Pan Oil leak?

what these guys said. if you have a oil leak I would suspect turbo drain if you said it was recently replaced. The first time I did mine I had to redo the drain gasket on the rear cover (under the up pipes). Next I would look at valve cover, as mine leaked and dripped right onto the oil...

    Info: business models/setup/requirments

I don't own my own business but my dad did for like 30-35 years. He always tried to operate debt free, but in the end that was what killed his last business (among other things). two things he always told me: 1- Don't be afraid to take a chance/go in debt IF its a good for business. 2-...

    shop air compressors

I bought my Solberg filter from amazon. I went to Solberg' site, http://www.solbergmfg.com/ViewSeriesList.aspx?ProductLineId=1 that's the link right to the inlet filters that will fit most compressors. I checked my compressor and knew it was 1.25 pipe thread. I found the part number on...

    shop air compressors

bump this with some good info. First, I definitely recommend adding the Solberg air filter silencer to your compressor if you don't have one. I used a crappy decibel app on my phone, and while the actual decibel reading didn't go down but a hair, it changed the tone from annoyingly higher...

signs of g80 on its last leg

What are some signs/symptoms of the stock rear axle giving up the ghost? I don't beat on the truck, cant tell you the last time I did a burnout, but the truck has 215k miles on the axle, and recently I noticed some oddities in the last week or so. 1- about 2 weeks ago( or longer), I heard a...

    Who's running oil heaters?

Yes that's my point. You've probably gotten all you're gonna get out of the stick on heater.

    Who's running oil heaters?

doesnt matter what brand stick on heater, a block heater is far superior to a magnetic oil heater. why do you think all the oems put block heaters in the trucks instead of magnetic heaters? I'm pretty sure the whole "short trips" thing has been debated many times either on here or probably...

    Remote Starter install

I'm thinking its time I bite the bullet and put a remote starter on my truck. Loving having it on my old ladies car. My question is, what all do I need to buy? I know I'm going to need some interface modules or whatever they are called. its going on my 07 lbz btw. I found an older post...

    Who's running oil heaters?

2 things 1- stick on heaters are the worst heaters you can have. for best results you need to be heating up the fluid- oil, coolant, etc. 2- duramax doesn't care about the short trips one bit. been driving short trips in my truck for years and its had no negative impact.
