And if I feather the throttle I can get it to run roughly at 1600ish frp. Just for a few seconds longer. Has a p0087 set. I guess I'd start with a cp3?

It will not start at all with the return line removed. But the lift pump pushes fuel out both the 1/2" supply and the 3/8" return lines. The returning fuel from the pump & injectors combined while cranking is just a dribble.
Could of swore I smelled gasoline in the first bottle of fuel so I...
I'll add that the van has only 89k on odo. And this problem come up after sitting and not running all winter, stored inside.

Got an 07 lly van here that will only start and run for couple seconds. It will only start after letting the factory lift pump run for a second. It then starts and rail pressure never reaches desired and it then stalls. Will do this repeatedly.
I pulled the supply line off at the engine and...
If you took it to a capable shop, they could further diagnose it. Possibly needs position sensor or solenoid, but I'd lean towards vanes being stuck. Highly doubt it's the bearings bad or shaft broke etc. But that's what a dealership will do, replace replace replace.

The dealer is typically not your best option for repairs on an expired warranty vehicle.
Like Tom said, we can offer better advice if you had the codes for us. I would suspect stuck vanes in the turbine instead of the entire turbo bad, based on the info given. Which does not require entire...
The experience we have with several gt50-based turbos in sled pulling makes me think they would be the ultimate setup as a street/race single or primary in compounds. Several turbo companies are actually fitting t6 s400's with the gt50 turbine wheel. No t4 housing available for a gt50. But a...
AC Delco pump kit part # 12672028 is the kit you need if you are going to keep the cp4. You can probably save yourself a bunch of money by purchasing online somewhere rather than paying dealer markup on it.

Now that I chink about it, I think the entire main tunnel was shot. And there were no conglomeration of used caps that would allow him to re-align hone.

We squished the lower mains and junked the caps on an engine once. Machinist tried close to a dozen random 'good' used caps and none of them would work.....

I reused the mahle seal that was in the gasket set SoCal included(it was new) and grey rtv on both sides. Pretty sure it would of been fine without the rtv after cleaning the surface, but wasn't taking any chance

Old thread but I'll add info. I just had to fix a leaking oil cooler coolant elbow on a built engine I put in. Used a new AC Delco oil cooler(does not come with a new elbow) and all new seals but neglected to pay attention to the sealing surface of the elbow. It had old gasket build up and...
