    2009 LMM Flashing issues

In some engine families, this firewall ground strap was attached to the back of the head. If the strap is still functional, you can attach it to the block at any convenient place. You can test the function by using a jumper cable attached to the negative battery terminal or to the block. Some...

    Torsion Bar Install Issue

The torsion bars are a very sloppy fit. All Duramax years/models.

    Speed sensor issue?

Wyatt - When the transmission module (TCM) has a problem, it sends a message to the ECM to post a P0700 DTC code, because all code readers read engine codes. But there is another different code stored in the TCM itself and not all readers will read TCM codes. That's what you need to find out...

    LLY ECM and TCM pinouts

References voltages (like the 5V reference supplied to 3 wire sensors) are supposed to be regulated to almost that exact voltage by the ECM. I would check with the engine running and see what voltage you get vs just key on. A battery voltage of 12.18 is a low battery, about 50-60% charged. Put...

LML Rebuild - Crank No Start

If the engine had actually been running, probably. The OP did say 'It will hit occasionally but nothing more. ' As much as anything I just wanted to point it out as something out of line with what I would expect from a newly rebuilt engine. I didn't think a cranking engine could make that much...

LML Rebuild - Crank No Start

Cranking fuel pressure shouldn't be 25-26kpsi. It should be 5-6K at cranking speed. That sounds to me like the FPR is not plugged into the harness. More information here https://oregonfuelinjection.com/services-repair/diesel-diagnostics-repair/chevy-gmc-diesel-diagnostics/

Please post your codes. What was fixed with a tuner? And I assume you are still having problems? But your truck can still be driven, but power is limited?

Clunking in 4wd Forward or reverse...about every 5 feet (lb7)

When my son was a teenager and purchased his first truck, a Dodge with a stick shift. He jacked up his truck under the trans thinking it would be OK to do so. It cracked the case, a little. He put JBWeld on it and it never leaked a drop.

Erratic Electrical Truck - Don't Know What to Make of IT

The scope arrived today and after a little charging, I went to the truck. I was originally going to test at fuse 50 which is where the DLC gets its voltage readings. Then decided I should at last look at the source, the battery itself. I got a picture, but only marginally useful because there is...

    Trans Electrical Issue

Did these DTCs arise after you changed the wiring harness and ignition switch? If nothing else, try it, clear the codes, and see if they come back. Maybe even disconnect both battery negatives for 30 minutes or then reconnect and see if any difference.

    u2106 help please!!!!!

There is a service bulletin mentioning pin fitment issue, possibly at the TCM electrical connector. Also, see this https://www.duramaxforum.com/threads/shifting-funny.1007536/#lg=thread-1007536&slide=0

Erratic Electrical Truck - Don't Know What to Make of IT

That was precisely one of my concerns also. Although I keep my engine pretty clean, the fuse block can be overrun with corrosion you don't see. So today I took it out and looked for corrosion, mouse nests, chewed wires, mud daubers, water, and anything that shouldn't be there. It was very clean...

Erratic Electrical Truck - Don't Know What to Make of IT

I don't recall when I last cleaned my ground for the EBCM, but the main battery to engine grounds have been cleaned several times and checked visually (effectively a gross corrosion check at best) many times. But they are on the list of things to do. I clean my at-the-battery grounds yearly. I...

    BCM data link

I didn't read your original post correctly. No, you don't need to program the BCM if it is not new. However, the ECM and BCM must communicate with each other via the GMLAN (or whichever com system (serial data) is used in your year truck). The first step is to make sure the BCM has power and...
