    NHRA and "Illegal Street Racing"

I'd say they're real. Hot Rod got a response in the link below from NHRA about all the backlash they've got over the letters. Hot Rod Looks like it's over being able to see NHRA stickers and competition numbers. More or less tying them to the promotion of street racing in some form or another...

    NHRA and "Illegal Street Racing"

No offense to John, but MAYBE. Power wise, he probably has them covered but not by a huge margin. Traction wise though, it'd be whole new learning curve trying to get it to hook and go like it does on the strip. That's how the street outlaws beat up on the drag week guys, home turf that they run...

    NHRA and "Illegal Street Racing"

To do what? I can't think of a diesel off hand that would roll with any of the cars on there. You're praying for them to spin to have a chance at not getting clowned.

Getting Mickey Thompson to make Baja Claws again!

Sure, smaller market with zero competition so it weighs up similar to a bigger saturated market. Like I said, good luck. I've just seen similar situations where the company turns a blind eye to seemingly decent demand with very little visible reasoning behind it.

Getting Mickey Thompson to make Baja Claws again!

Good luck with this. Getting them to make tires they either used to make, or make them in other sizes, seemingly takes years. The land speed guys have begged for years to get more LSR sizes with little luck. We're talking about a market that tires are almost $1000/ea with little to no...

    Cam or Heads???

Beyond an alternate firing order cam apparently being the way to go to save crank failures. I'm wondering if anyone has any real life experiences with just a cam swap or just going from stock heads to ported heads with no other changes. Has anyone swapped just a cam in? Or just ported heads...

    Godspeed turbos?

It's not the same. The Godspeed "chinese junk" company you're referring to makes wastegates and other turbo related stuff aimed at the import community. I've used their stuff, never been disappointed. Especially considering they're quite a bit cheaper than the name brand stuff. The God Speed...

    Headgaskets, OEM VS Fel Pro

Does anyone have the part numbers for the A and B new style gaskets? Had C's in but since it's torn down and going to measure piston to valve clearance. I'd like to bump compression up if I've got the room.

    LB7: Rossler TH400 behind duramax

Sent you back a PM. I'd check with Chris at CK too. Nothing against Rossler, they build some really awesome stuff. Just a big fan of knowledgeable people not trying to sell you the kitchen sink when you don't need it.

    LB7: Rossler TH400 behind duramax

Why not a 4L80e? Overdrive, manual valve body and trans brake if you want it. Don't see anything in what you posted that would eliminate it plus you don't have the Allison weight.

    Lifters

I'd just look them over and make sure they look like they're in good shape. If they are, re-use them. They're roller lifters so they don't necessarily have to go back in the same spot they came from but preferences will vary.

    Duramax C10

I changed the fluid. Seriously, bone stock front to back, just wired it for full manual and lockup. It never ran serious power, probably 400ish but there were zero signs of any parts getting hurt. This year will tell the real tale but everything I've seen, 600ish horse should be okay...

    57 Chevy Duramax

Congrats on starting it up. :thumb: I'd roll with those silicone hoses until they cause an issue. Especially if you won't get anywhere near the 90psi rating. What's the point in replacing them if you haven't had an issue with them yet?

    Duramax C10

The 80 is what I was referring to in my earlier posts. Easier and cheaper to find than an 85.

A 9" will live fine. Probably need some aftermarket axles but I don't see you having much more problem at that power.

Wow. I didn't realize Bean's had twisted the frame to the point of no return. Curious what, if anything, is reinforced on that frame and how much cage it has. That truck also leaves harder than a street truck could dream of so it's somewhat apples to oranges. It's good to hear your frame is...
