    3.42s in a Street Truck

Update: Every 5 speed truck making more than stock power should have 3.42s. It spends more time in each gear so the trans seems happier and isn't shifting so much, it pulls much smoother, and it dropped the rpms a bunch on the highway which killed the exhaust drone and generally makes my pants...

What upgrades do I need most?

Why would you do injectors before you did a turbo? The stock fuel system(with a lift pump) will support more horsepower then the stock turbo. You need to do some reading.

    Drag Racing Question

Did you have the truck setup to start in 2nd gear? I would assume 4.56s would basically render 1st gear useless at the drag strip even with a taller tire.

    3.42s in a Street Truck

With 3.42s they should work out well at the track. Street use they might be a little short with a 5 speed though.

    3.42s in a Street Truck

I just picked up a set of mickey thompson et street R's in 305/45r18. Haven't put them on the truck yet but they market them as a drag radial that will hold up to street miles. They are weight rated to hold our trucks as well.

    3.42s TCM Tuning

My concern was that when the trans shifts the following gear will be taller and increase the load. My thought was that by increasing the RPMs of the shift it will fall into the next gear and be a bit higher in the rpms and be able to handle the load better but I guess I was overthinking things.

    3.42s TCM Tuning

I have a set of 3.42s going into my truck. Currently running a stock 03 TCM tune and I will have a tap shifter installed. Curious if anyone has played with shift points to let the truck rev a bit higher before upshifting or if I am overthinking this.

    QA1 shocks

I actually did try flipping them and it was close but will require some grinding. I am going to put it up on the lift soon and figure it out.

    QA1 shocks

That is the thing. It rubs on both sides of the bracket and shock body. Even centered it touches both side and any suspension travel it will wear through the shock.

    QA1 shocks

the way it is hitting I don;t think a simple bend will work. I wish I could get a better picture but it seems like the bracket will need to be cut and modified.

    QA1 shocks

I used snapchat to illustrate. This is the fox shock wth clearance. The qa1 touches there

    QA1 shocks

I have to go to hockey so I put the fox shocks back in haha. My biggest concerns is that the body of the shock is rubbing on the bracket. The fox shocks have about half an inch of clearance but the distant from the bushing hole to the shock body seems to be shorter on the qa1 coursing the...
