    Advice on a build?

600 rwhp in an ecsb like yours would have you in the very low 12s already. Been there done that, except it was an 800-900 rwhp build that I pushed to ~1200.

    lope tune

If a customer is paying for custom tuning and they want a lope tune, a smoke tune, a puff of smoke on start-up, or any other non-performance or vanity feature it is their truck and their choice. A valet, high idle, or no-start tune is certainly not a "performance tune" but there are customers...

    Installing a electric water pump

The pipe coming from the T-stat housing to the pump is a bypass that is letting coolant from before the T-stats into the pump. The heater core circuit does the same thing - before the T-stats to the lower rad hose into the pump. When I installed mine I blocked the bypass line and moved where...

NASCAR Technical Institute and Pit Crew U

I'm sure the guys that are managing or especially owning a shop would have probably been in the same position without the school. Actually without waiting those 2 years to get started their shop may have been even bigger. Work ethic, drive, common sense, and experience all go further than a...

Allison 6sp: Trans Build, what clutch kit?

Like Mike said the PPE Stage 4 is equivalent to a SC Stage 3, which is rated at a realistic 500 rwhp. That means you can pretty much beat the crap out of it with 500 rwhp and still have it last. The right builder can easily get a stage 3 to hold 600 rwhp reliably with a few extra tweaks...

Allison 6sp: Trans Build, what clutch kit?

SunCoast Stage III or a kit from Mike for something equivalent to the PPE Stage IV. For a little overkill I would step up to a SC IV or GMax kit though. Or just drop it off with Mike and let him hook you up.

    LLY: BD supermax good idea?

I skimmed through but am I seriously the first one to think that a turbo upgrade is a complete waste of time for this guy? I can think of a handful of reasons to not buy ANY turbo for your truck: With the Edge it is going to throw codes when you get rid of the stock variable turbo. You...

what are yall running for a rail pressure gauge

Exhaust back pressure on a turbo vehicle is what we call "drive pressure". The ISSPRO kits come with the sensor, wiring, and gauge, but not the copper tubing. I like to run a 3/16" brake line, 1/8" copper line clogs with soot too easily.

    M5 had no clue

We have a 2WD LMM that cuts 1.7s on slicks but can only manage about a 2.0 on street tires. He runs 12.7s @ 105-107. Built trans, AD 150, exhaust, tuning.

what are yall running for a rail pressure gauge

I would never run fuel into the cab and as stated the cheapo mechanical plus an isolator is usually more than an electrical, which is easier to install. ISSPRO is so much cleaner of an install than the AutoMeter, it comes with all the wiring and simple instructions - you don't have to "make a...

    Motor Disassembly

I was using the stock flywheel/flexplate on my truck too. Never made a noise or anything but when I pulled the motor the flexplate had a crack in it. Could have been casued when I lost the piston though.

From what I have heard from people that actually know their stuff and go and seen from guys applying to work here that didn't know their stuff and went - none of the "big name" (UTI, MMI, NTI, WyoTech, etc) tech schools teach you much. They have so many mechanically challenged people going that...

    Advantages of a parallel setup?

I agree that parallels compared to a big single have few advantages. Look at the tuner cars that come stock with parallel turbos and guys end up swapping to a huge single when they get serious about racing. The reason you see cars like Steve Morris' 3000+hp 572 Cube Ford running parallel is...

Save your money and order from a company you can trust instead of Ebay, these are repackaged Ground Force shackles: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G904000/ They are the same ones that NorCal sells.

Went to the track tonight my times were horrible

There aren't that many tables availabe in single tune form than there are in DSP5 form. Also any tables that are you can change to whatever you are wanting before you converter the tune to a DSP5, then converter and save it, then open it and put in the tunes you want.
