I went back and re read the thread.

This does seem more leaned towards a mechanical guage to monitor rail pressure. If it is I'm gonna say it again you are F'n NUTS to run 20 K plus PSI into your truck! I hope you come back and tell us what happens cause it's gonna be some great reading good luck! :roflmao:

My post above is all about a lift pump! As far as diesel fuel being flammable the hell it aint. Through some on a pile of wood and throw a match on it and let us know. Sure it isn't like gas as the flash point isn't there but hell if I would play games with it.

But IMO fire isn't my worry.

Guess you didn't read the end of the thread. Both my gauges ate electric. I've never been accused of bein mentally stable, but I'm not quite crazy enough to run 24k psi of hot fuel to my face.....and will someone throw a match in a cup of fuel and video it so people will realize its not gonna blow up.

now thats a different story. your ass would be gone 3rd degree style
How hot do you think the fuel coming out of your fuel tank is after you've been driving for an hour or more? I'll give you a hint, it's above the flash point unless it is really cold outside.

Fire as I said earlier wouldn't be my biggest concern under most circumstances . Something pretty catastrophic or almost a perfect scenario would have to take place for it to be a real danger.

On the other hand a every day situation of a leak developing is another story.

Fire would come more into play if a accident were to happen. That is IMO a serious problem and that I believe is where every one is coming from, your taking a major risk for yourself and anyone occupying your vehicle. Just imagine the line breaking spraying fuel all over you your passengers and the inside of the vehicle! Ya it might be a fender bender and no big deal but it could be worse.

If your willing to take that risk above everyones suggestions have at it. It's a gamble thats for-sure. One I would not take.

I am not getting any mechanical pressure gauges of any sort. I got electric gauges. Now do we understand? I appreciate the concern for my life and the well beings of everyone within a 5 mile radius of a mechanical fuel pressure gauge

seriously, you would think diesel fuel is on the same level as nuclear bombs. I understand a leak in the cab would smell like shit and it would suck. but geez i dont think it will immediatly burst into a raging fire ball, killing eveyone within a 5 mile blast radius, covering the city in nuclear fall out giving everyone radiation poisoning.

Oh ok I must have missed read it or had a brain fart! Anyway I hear ya on the diesel bomb thing and your right that is not the case.

The thing is when you post on these boards people will give you thoughts ,some good some bad, and no one wants to give bad advise. Also make sure that the individual looks at every possible scenario as you might have over looked something or not thought of that.

No harm is meant and yes people are concerned about someone getting hurt or injured. Perhaps we were a bit over kill but safety first!

The thought of having fuel ,fuel at 20,0000 PSI or better running into your cab gives me the creeps. Low pressure not so bad but still concerning. You made the right choice and now everyone within 100 square miles of you are safe! :roflmao:

so the isspro back pressure gauge is a drive pressure gauge.....does the gauge come with all the stuff to run a DP gauge? copper line, etc...?

Exhaust back pressure on a turbo vehicle is what we call "drive pressure". The ISSPRO kits come with the sensor, wiring, and gauge, but not the copper tubing. I like to run a 3/16" brake line, 1/8" copper line clogs with soot too easily.

Yeah I figured it out. I just couldn't tell if it used a copper line like a normal mechanical DP gauge
