    If I do a diesel go fast it will have to be in this heavy mid eighties low budget Corsa 30 The cabin is gutted and the rear bulkhead could come forward for a staggered set up.

    I'm thinking about doing a higher hp single engine w/twin turbos in a smaller boat next year but how can you utilize really big hp with a diesel? Limited on rpm's - won't you run out of prop?

    Not really, turbo lag was not too bad on the one heavy duramax boat I've been on. But thought it would be nice to eliminate the hot turbos and simplify the intercooler and exhaust plumbing

    Forgot about the crank issues. This is a marine app that won't see over 3600 rpm and they have AF cams. Do you think that's enough lessen the chances of breakage? It does need to be reliable.
