    This is as far back as I could get the console and still utilize the well underneath it and still have fishing room behind it. There is room for a rear live well if I wanted to cut up the bolster stands and incorporate it into the back of the seats, maybe later, way behind getting it in the water.

    Does anyone know where I can find a v band flange that seats all the way into turbo flange? The standard male flange doesn't reach past the beveled part.

    I know the stretched console kinda looks like a nursing home toilet but it's a live well. A padded seat will snap to the front of the console. Starting on mounting framework for the intercoolers tonight.

    Catching up on some boat rigging while engine plumbing stuff all gets here. Got the engines/trans/drive plates in a couple months ago and mocking up exhaust tailpipes, intercoolers, heat exchangers now.

    I understand that wakeboat came out pretty good, and not too much $$. If the marine parts were more commonly available I think they'd be in a lot of boats now. I'm skeptical about high hp, except around the bay or lake. 100mi offshore not so much.

    Looks like the production engines like the 5.9 and 8.3 Cummins use heat exchangers with about the same dimensions as the BBC's, maybe a little bigger but not much.

    I was thinking a heat exchanger adequate for a 700-800hp big block would be plenty for a 500 hp duramax. I have high volume 3 stage sea water pumps so the intercoolers will have separate dedicated water and not warm water coming from the heat exchanger.

    Anybody know how the engine cooling requirements for a duramax compare to a BBC ? I assume the duramax needs more but how much more?

    You going to be in Sarasota nov/dec? Got mine aligned and fitted up but cracked a weld on an aluminum stringer mount, redo this week then mock up heat exchangers and intercoolers. Real busy at work next five weeks but will ready to run on the stands by mid November

    Have you ever heard of anyone having any trapped air in upper parts of the cooling system (heads)? Will has his BBC high spots tapped to allow any air pockets to escape. Not sure why that would be an issue for marine if it's not a problem in my truck.

    Got enough room to mount the heat exchanger up front or down under the engines and keep the intercoolers off to the side and low.
