    I've been back steady for the past 6 months and got a new personal best for bench Friday. Did 315 for 8 and then 370 for one. The 370 went up decent but I stopped there for now rather then risk hurting myself. Hoping for 405 by fall.

    I know what a converter unlocking feels like lol. What I was more referring to is your second paragraph but I've had it happen during a few scenarios and very often.

    Mine is constantly accelerating with my foot off the pedal and on deceleration it's dangerous. Lots of people with same issue.

    The converter takes a little more stress because of the load but so long as you don't sit on the converter for to long it's fine which is the same for 1st gear starts. I've yet to have any converter failures in any of the high hp truck running 2nd gear starts. I'd never run anything but at track...

    Every shift you eliminate is good thing. The trucks love 2nd gear starts.

    The 1-2 will always be a wasted shift as is the 5-6 there is no need for the planet. That and it would do nothing for what he's trying to accomplish either way.

    You shouldn't have to play with anything to stop flaring shifts. It sounds like you have transmission issues

    We had successful 3 days all things considered. We went with one goal and that was running a 9.5 and trying to trap 150 and anything after that was a bonus. The sled pull was going to be good one but wasn't meant to be due to the traction bar mount failure that turned expensive in a hurry. While...
