LMM part throttle defuel
I've searched but haven't seen this one. I've got a part throttle defuel that I cannot figure out. It occurs at 45-55% throttle position or so, so accelerating aggressively. The defuel is zeroed out and disabled in the tcm tune. It does not defuel at all at WOT. It's fine at normal accelerating...- camcojb

It sounds like it's a single cylinder that's loosing compression, pretty small amount but you can hear it with the hood up. It didn't do it when I first fired the engine, so somethings come loose. Seems like if it was a loose clamp or something with the twin kit it wouldn't have the on/off hiss... -

Found a cummins....
Dodge's make good hotrods, no doubt. But the Dmax is so much nicer in my opinion; better tone (V8), much quieter, nicer ride, more comfortable, etc. and can still be modded a ton. removing firewall pad
I think you can remove it in the truck since you can tear it up, not caring if it can be re-installed. There are several plastic clips that hold it, but they un-thread by hand. Thanks guys, I'm leaving it out. I am ready to re-install the engine, probably tomorrow. I'll start a new thread...- camcojb

removing firewall pad
lost a piston, best guess. Haven't pulled it apart, but one dead cylinder and a lot of crankcase pressure. Still ran, drove it home, but gray smoke out the pipe. Just finished swapping the LMM stuff over to an LBZ motor I bought. Jody- camcojb

removing firewall pad
when the motor puked oil it ruined the firewall pad. I removed it and ordered a new one which I have here. But after cleaning the firewall I much prefer the clean look of no pad. Plus you gain a bit more room back there for bolts, etc. My question is, has anyone removed it and noticed...- camcojb

Diamond Eye downpipe install problem
yes, the orientation of that clamp for the downpipe is set to "assembly line" specs, not "I may have to remove this later with the body on" specs............ :D Hardest part of the install for me, especially with the nbs truck with the engine shoved even further back into the firewall. Got smoked by an CTS-V
A good friend of mine is a driver for GM and did 200 back to back 1/4 mile runs in one at Phoenix AZ for testing. In street trim made 100 passes, ran 12.20's to 12.40's with literally no stops between runs other than to drive back up to the starting line and stage. They then mounted drag radials...- camcojb

did a boosted 4X launch, but wheel-hopped badly. Full 70 psi in the tires and no lowered t-bars plus a stickier surface than where I datalog......... it's never hopped on the street with the same launch. There was a lot more in it I'm sure, but I never made it back to the track before it...- camcojb
