Listen to Tom, leveling kits put your front end angles out of whack. Leveling kits+heavy throttle in 4wd=bad news. Alot of people don't realize that when u do a boosted 4wd launch the front end raises a little causing even worse angles. Ask me how I know
I had an otter box on my 4 and it's stupid bulky and plan on missing calls trying to get it out of your pocket. I got a speck now and it fits my needs. But I don't scuba dive or live in a desert.
I just got a quote from one of the recommended shops. Seems like a good guy. I'm pricing out a 1410 shaft. I wanted to go 1480 but I think I would rather have my u joints as the weak link at this point. I've got the go ahead from the old lady to find a dedicated puller or a tow rig. So when I...
U need to come back and watch a game at the new stadium. It's setup pretty cool. The arch is in the background and everything. We almost went to game 1 but the guy sold the tickets before we could grab them.
I got bored one day and weighed a bunch of stuff, the stock hitch was 37 lbs. steel spare was 74. Tailgate was 54. Second batt-40lbs. I thought I weighed the backseat but can't find my info.
It really frustrates me cause I would love to build a 66-67 nova, but u can't touch a rusty pile of sh!t for under 4-5k. I bought my vega for 240 dollars! Threw a cage, 12 bolt and a sbc in it and painted it myself. It's an ugly ass vega but even junk Vegas are going for 1500. That's just stupid
I appreciate the offer zac, Im going to go with 1480 u joints I think. I pulled my slip yoke off just in case I needed it. But for a little extra cash I can upgrade.
So a properly balanced steel shaft would b ok to dd and race? I really want the strength of the steel but I like daily driving my truck too much to sacrifice drivability.
Ok I'm having probs deciding on a shaft. I've made up my mind to go with 1480's but I keep reading more and more about vibration probs with steel shafts in crew cab short beds. I measured mine at 69 3/4" long. I called a shop and he said he won't do anything over 60". Then I called another guy...
I feel lucky, I bought mine in may of 07 with 20k on the clock for 31k. Sticker was 48k. I just refinanced this year and my credit union said the loan value was 29k. With 117k on it. There is a place in mid Illinois called midwestdieseltrucks that has good deals sometimes. But alot of there...
