They made some serious headway yesterday and were trans bolts and motor bolts away from pulling it at 6 PM last night .
Should be out today if not already .

Motors out and half apart would of been out sooner but we fought tht stupid belhousing bolts kind of a pain when not on a lift. but we got it figured out. yea thanks for the cherry picker. to bad you left early. the stand on the other hand cant hold a fully dressed motor and did a front flip luckly we still had it chained up to the hoist. guess its time for a little more heavy duty stand we had to lift the cab a bit to get the motor to clear the transfer case. other then tht all went pretty good. now to get it all apart and check out the damage gave some oics ill post soon

If you recall I mentioned to put a jack stand under front balancer if you were going to put it up there fully dressed . Thats as big a stand as you can find .
Hope nothing was damaged . Glad you still had the chain hoist hooked to it .

Tommy that engine is fine, I dont know why you pulled it out, didnt you see the green "OK" sticker on the valve cover??

LOL i said the same exact thing whe i pulleed the motor out :rofl: got the rest of the crap out of the way and pulled the head off theres a nice little hole in the piston. No crack across the top. to me it looks like the hollow oiling pasage blew out ? but ill take a better look when i get the piston out. the cylinder wall looks decent just a mahr on the wall and a little piston material but dosent look like it gouged it. well to my untrained eye at least. heads valves and other pistons looks perffect I did have a cracked intake manifold thoe
looks like mabey it was a factory defect or over tightend and got cracked. Ill post pics later forgot my camera earlyer
