Compression test will target that too. So if you get a dead cyl, you know the engine needs work, so pull the valve cover and check the valves.

The McRat Special should normally get you flowers the next morning, but I think a kiss afterwards is extra.

Yes you could of slapped a valve on a piston . Possible but unlikely

Steve always has a good supply of snake oil, perhaps Tom could borrow some. Not sure about the lubricity of snake oil, but it's gotta be better than nothing.
