Motors out and half apart would of been out sooner but we fought the stupid belhousing bolts kind of a pain when not on a lift. but we got it figured out. yea thanks for the cherry picker. Too bad you left early. the stand on the other hand cant hold a fully dressed motor and did a front flip luckly we still had it chained up to the hoist. guess its time for a little more heavy duty stand we had to lift the cab a bit to get the motor to clear the Front Differential. other then that all went pretty good. now to get it all apart and check out the damage gave some pics i'll post soon
only tommy would shove a doritos bag into the turbo..... nice one dude
glad its moving along for you.
got it almost all apart today just need gregs kent more tool from johhny and a big socket to get the balancer off. fron cover and then pull the crank and thts it other side looked pretty good just some polishng on the cyl wallls. will get some pics up soon
oh yea johhny answer your dang phone )
Tommy you will also want a 14mm hex to remove the flex plate and a long breaker bar and a jack handle to boot or a strong strong impacts.
Balancer bolt was easy.....i thought. Now the fan pully on the other hand...... fk'd with that thing for a couple hours before finally biting the bullet and spendin the money on a pulley tool. What a POS to get off.
I don't get it, 3 different trucks, Different models and years, All with the same hole in the same place in the piston.
Why?????
I would guess some are from HP and egt's and cylinder pressure and some are from stuck injectors . Hard to tell really . We know how hard I was on mine , but I still think it stuck an injector .
