LOL i said the same exact thing whe i pulleed the motor out

Yeah mine was "OK" when I pulled it out too. I rebuilt it anyway though before I put it back in, just to be on the safe side. :D

Good luck with the build, keep us posted.

btw, that hole, thats what happend to mine too, although in addition to the hole I got a big split through two pistons. The remaining 3 (I cracked 5 total) had large cracks developing in the lips.

Motors out and half apart would of been out sooner but we fought the stupid belhousing bolts kind of a pain when not on a lift. but we got it figured out. yea thanks for the cherry picker. Too bad you left early. the stand on the other hand cant hold a fully dressed motor and did a front flip luckly we still had it chained up to the hoist. guess its time for a little more heavy duty stand :) we had to lift the cab a bit to get the motor to clear the Front Differential. other then that all went pretty good. now to get it all apart and check out the damage gave some pics i'll post soon

Fixed it for yah;)

Tommy you will also want a 14mm hex to remove the flex plate and a long breaker bar and a jack handle to boot or a strong strong impacts.

Try calling me or leaving a message . I have no calls from you on my phone , just looked .

Boy you get testy when its your motor broke . You were making jokes right and left when it was mine .

I didnt forget about Ban Johnny thread :D

The seal tool is here , you dont need it to disassemble , just pull and the seal will seperate in 2 . On both front and rear . If you want to pull it with tool you can though , then you dont have the inner steal on crank still .

You need it to reassemble mainly . It's here when you want it though .

The balancer bolt was the real pain for me to get off . What a bitch that was .

Glad to see you guys making some serious progress , now post some pics of the cylinder and piston so we can see it .

I don't get it, 3 different trucks, Different models and years, All with the same hole in the same place in the piston.

Why?????

That was easy wes you just pull the 4 bolts holding it on timing cover instead and whole unit comes off .

I would guess some are from HP and egt's and cylinder pressure and some are from stuck injectors . Hard to tell really . We know how hard I was on mine , but I still think it stuck an injector .

This is kind of what I was wondering.
