LLY: Weird knock at heavy throttle.

Does it only do it over 2500 rpm? That is when pilot injection shuts off.

To say the truth, idk. It does it when I floor it. So I'm usually looking at the road and not the gauges. But I'll do it again today and see.

Not sure. Didn't tune it. But it's moonshine tuned if that helps. Maybe he can chime in on this.

Mine does this too. I figured it was just because of the higher compression of the LB7 and it being a first gen dmax it's just loud. I could have bad info though. Still learning

Well I cant speak for anyone else but as of now im rockin the bone stock tune with the injectors because of the super weak clutch Im assuming mines a timing rattle as well?

Too much fuel (pulse width) is being brought in too quick (timing). Load a stock tune and try it out...Or somthing much smaller, bet it goes away:thumb:

A motor! :rofl: I think too much timing, too soon is usually the cause of bent rods

Basically the piston is trying to be pushed down as the crank is trying to push them up to TDC. (too much timing, too soon) too much fuel coming in too soon (makes it louder and can wash the cylinder walls with fuel). None of this is good under any circumstances!!!

After reading this thread, I cant believe how many people are driving around with this issue. GUYS YOUR TRUCK SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF RATTLE AT ANY THROTTLE POSITION. After about 2500 rpms the engine will get a little bit louder (pilot injection in turning off) but that is normal (about twice as loud as with pilot on)

Well at high horsepower of course but im pretty sure mines ok running stock pw on 80hp sticks

At RPMs under 2500 it sounds like a 7.3???? If so, NO not good.
