Apparently they are coming out with a Nike Romaleos 3 sometime this month. Learned most people go with the Adipower over the Romaleos due to the weight. Reebox has a legit lifting shoe and make the Romaleos seem lite. I'll probably wait and see what the Nike is like and then decide. Although I did find a nice set of Adidas powerlift 2.0 I really like, just can't find my effing size. Oh well I'll keep after it, might try and start pulling off the floor in my socks

Bench after being out of town,
225 warm up and stretch.
275 x 5 for 4 sets
Got a spot and hit 295 for 4 and he bumped me up on the 5th one. Felt good, been hitting outer triceps and the top half of my bench press is getting way stronger.
Then incline and cable flys. Then triceps for days

Most will never lift hard or heavy enough to ever tell a difference. I love my Romaleos but the new Reebok looks equally as nice. I would go with the one that grabs your eye and has the best price. Nike has it's new Romaleo 3 out now as well.

What type of lifting are you primarily going to use them for?

At least you still moved some weight.
I also did deads today, did reps of 3 and did mostly 50 pound jumps by adding quarters.
225 x 10 and stretch
315 x 5
365 x 3
415 x 3
Added 10s and hit 435 for 3
Added 2 more tens and hit 455 for 3
I pulled 455 for 3 before so this was a tie with my pr on reps. Feel great def had to take a seat after 455, started seeing stars lol.
cable rows
Cable crossovers
pull downs
2 sets of biceps and now I'm at home thinking what to eat lol

Peaks and valleys my friend. I'm transitioning back into high reps but was hoping to pull 375 for sets of ten... Oh well.

Your deads are coming along nicely:thumb:

Looking for some tips to improve my bench press. I have been really working on a power lifting set up on the bench and initially it big difference but now I've plateaued. I finally got up to 205 for 3-5 reps and hit a PR of 240 but have not been able to come anywhere close to 240 now. I hit the 240 press about 4 weeks ago and lately I can only hit 225 for a single. I've mostly lifted strictly for hypertrophy as my initial goal was to gain lean mass but now I want to focus on bringing up my strength.

Well, the bench press is easily the most roller coaster of all lifts... Mainly due to a much smaller group of muscles compared to the back and legs. So diet, recovery, and technique are much more important and can dramatically effect performance.

1 are you on are have you used a peaking program before?
2 how long have you been training/lifting?
3 are you currently cutting, bulking or maintaining?

What accessory work do you do also. Lats and triceps as well as shoulders and a few other muscles play a role. I know when my triceps and back lack so does my bench

I haven't ever used a peaking program before. Probably something I should try. I've been training now with proper diet for 3 years. Currently I'm bulking. I'm up to 190lbs from 160 in June of last year. I consume roughly 3600 calories a day and 400g of that are carbs so I should have the energy available.

I work every muscle group each week and some times lacking areas twice a week. My shoulders have grown a lot on this bulk and my back has always been my strongest muscle group. However I'm right side dominant and so my left tricep is noticeably smaller then my right. I've really been trying to isolate my left tricep and even them out.
