Stay strong in the mind and you'll be stronger than anyone. In my short life I've realized you can be physically strong but it doesn't do a while lot without a strong mind.

I used to compete at the national level. I was in a car accident 2 and a half years ago and had some spinal cord damage and had to have a 3 level fusion. Messed me up pretty good. I'm only about 225-230 now at about 5%. I used to walk around in the offseason at 270-275 at 8%. I'm 5'8. I'm brutally weak now, but fortunately I think I'm as small as I'm going to get.
After reading all these posts I realize I am literally the weakest person to post in this thread.

Good lord, 275 at 5'8? Branch Warren lookin Mofo:thumb:

I doubt even now that your the weakest. This thread is a whatever you want thread about fitness in general:thumb: I use it for motivation, tracking workouts, getting help/advice, giving help/advice.

It's nice to look back over my workouts and see my progression, or lack of progression:mad:

Have you gone back to the gym yet?

Ya I'm training again. That bottom picture was about 8 months ago. I'm muscular just not what I used to be. Trust me you would be astounded as to how weak I am. I'm not physically capable of doing a single pull up... I can only do machine and even then I'm using little weights. It's all about the mind to muscle connection for me now and trying to get nerves to fire

Did some squats last night. Not real sure what's going on in my noodle. I shot out of the hole with 385 and just ran into a brick wall half way up. I couldn't transition from glute/hams/hips to quads to save my life:confused: I ground out 405 16 weeks ago and I can't even get 385 now. I realize with the muscle pull in my back a few weeks ago and being sick has all but wrecked this training cycle but damn I thought I could at least get back to 405...

Next week is my meet and seriously toying with just spectating and helping at the event.

Here is a short summary of where and how the wheels fell off this training cycle. Perhaps someone will gain from my mistakes.
1. Switching to Sumo at the beginning of the training cycle. I used my 505 conventional numbers for the start of the Sumo stuff. The early light weights were fine but as soon as it hit 400+ my tendons and ligaments in my hips and knees were not ready. Remember that tendons and ligaments take much longer to grow and strengthen than muscle.
2. Pulled left spinal erector just as I was hitting the peaking phase of this program. Any pulled muscle takes rest to get it healed...
3. Farking head cold, same with pulled muscles, REST

So there it is in a nutshell, 14 weeks down the drain:D

Time for the testo

Not yet Wolf, there are still gains in this old body somewhere. It's just getting harder to find them:D

If I use anything then I will need to retire from USAPL/IPF... My long term goals now are to make it to Nationals and then maybe someday worlds. going to need a 550 ish squat 400 bench and 600 dead to be competitive at worlds... F-me, I got some work to do;)

Real men do pink....:D

I don't go anywhere near the gym without my pink foam roller and I-pod:rofl: It's the price of having a house full of girls, and I just don't give a f*ck.

Try shaving with one then shave with a men's quite the difference!! Alot of my female friend use men's razors because of a closer shave...
Got 3 sister that say the same thing men's razors are better lol
