Get yourself a food scale and one of them fancy smart phones, get an app called My Fitness Pal. It calculates your Macros throughout the day, as you eat you punch in what and the quantity and it keeps track for you. Most people are surprised by how much/little there eating.

I did a semi light, volume wise bench day.
worked up to
315x1 comp paused
335xfail! felt pretty weak today, didn't sleep well at all and had an upset stomach before bed
285x6x2 paused
225x10 long paused

Stretched
Incline walk for 10min.
cycled 10mins
more stretching and foam rolling

Trying really hard to take it easy this week... Which F-ing sucks, as a competitor I want go full bore but the body needs recovery too.

202.8 as of this morning.... Lightest I have been in a year. I will stay around 205 so I won't have much of a weight cut for Sep. 26th.

Well just make small changes to your diet, nothing drastic...

I started by cutting out Mt. Dew several years ago. I lost 8 pounds in 2 months with that small change and some mild exercise.

Ran 2 miles tonight, speaking of all this dieting...been trying to cut back in the last 2 weeks. Watching what I eat and how much of it. seems to be paying off. I've lost around 6 pounds in that period and have been weighing in at 209 for the last few days in the morning. I'd like to get down to 195-200 and tone up what I have. Man I have a long ways to go...:spit:

That was the first change. I stopped mtn dew about 2 months ago. Very hard but the hardest was stopping the chewing tobacco. Almost 2 yrs but I still chew on my lip so it's still habit that I could pick up but fight the urge. Anyways I'm trying to go less sweets as I've got a massive sweet tooth and add in some fruits and veggies. The fruit is easy as it has sugar but the veggies are proving to be more difficult.

This thread and the guys on it have been a big help though in motivating me to start working out again

Sauteed spinach with olive oil, lemon juice, salt/pepper, and fresh squeezed garlic tastes amazing. Get some low fat dressings and have bags of cut up veggies in fridge if you start craving. Pan seared asapargous in a garlic bath, all sorts of things to mask veggie aspect while maintaining semi healthy

(if you couldn't guess, I am a lil too much of a fan of garlic )

Oh ya, forgot about the grill, get a nice veggie wok and go to town. Grilled veggies are always delicious.
